From today's practice:
Q: Is there any way Channing Frye can stay with Dirk Nowitzki?
IT: “No.”
Q: But if Channing starts on him, what does he need to do:
IT: “Pray.”
Q: Didn’t you bring Jared Jeffries in to defend these guys?
IT: “He can’t stop him, either. We’re helpless. We’re defenseless.”
I think Isiah was just trying to get his team prepped mentally. if we can't defend them, we've got nothing to lose anyway, so you might as well just throw all-in and be physical with the guy and risk getting fouls called, because he's going to get 2 points anyway. at least that's how it makes sense to me.
the funny thing is after the brawl, I couldn't wait for us to get a shot at Dallas. it was around the time we beat Utah and Detroit that I realized we tend to put up and fight against the better teams, and not compete against the bad teams. the problem is that Tomorrow is coming off a win... so I'm not so confident about our chances
