Give Garbajosa a break: Mitchell
By MIKE GANTER

Andrea Bargnani hasn't been a secret in the league for quite a while, but it still is interesting to see the reaction of the opposing big men who are forced to guard him each night.

Count Eddy Curry among the Bargnani believers.

"It's tough (defending him) because it goes against everything that you are used to doing," Curry said. "In my position, when I see a guard penetrate I am trying to help out and tonight I couldn't do it and I got caught kind of in between a couple of times and he burned me."

The reason Curry couldn't help on the guards was because the minute he did the ball would get kicked back to an open Bargnani for another three.

"I didn't really have to chase him, it was one of those things where going into the game, I wasn't really anticipating guarding him, so when I was on him, I kind of reverted back to what I would do normally. He wasn't out there running screens, it was just the guard (T.J. Ford 18 assist ) was penetrating and I was trying to help a little bit and it was too late."

My advice to eddy is this, when you are defending a bonifide 3pt shooter frontcourt player stay with him on the perimitter and let the guards attempt to play better defense or just lay off their man a bit to prevent layups.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

if isiah has curry guarding bargnani again, he should probably have his extension revoked.

Eddy Curry has no idea what it is like to play in a playoff atmosphere because since the Knicks have started playing 'meaningful' games, Curry has disappeared.

lies
thats not fair... its not lies. Read it again, he says he's *TRYING* to help out. That entails:
step 1) remove piano from ass
step 2) try to react to penetrating guards (pretty much every possesion)
step 3) pick up piano, put back on ass

Its a lot of steps to perform in a second or two... good to know he's trying though :)

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I didn't even notice that, but I think it may be Katrina. Good catch.
