If he was 1/4 of the player they thought he would be--jeez--6-11 guy who shoots jumpshots yet is scared to shoot half the time anyway--when curry cant score in the post we have no one.

That's because he got the oohah: "Kiss of Death"

He's been very uneven this year. I think he'll bounce back.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Channing Frye is threatening to grow a vagina.

In his first 4 years in the league Van Horn averaged 19 pts and 8 rebs. I don't ever see that stiff Frye coming anywhere close to that in any season.

Van Horn puts up those numbers and he's supposed to be one of the most underachieving and disappointing players drafted in the last 10 years.

Curry comes close to those averages for 1 season and it's supposed to be proof that he's a dominating center that you can build a championship contender around.

Bull****. By far the biggest disappointment is that Isiah is coming back as general manager.

But a VERY close second is Channing Frye.

Channing Frye wants to be traded, whether he tells the media this or not.

He's a westcoast kind of guy who doesn't fit in the newyork knicks style.

Why did Isiah draft the kid knowing he had a label of being soft.

Frye came from the lute olson old school of structured schemes, notice how he played better in LB scheme.

Under Isiah he doesn't know what to do or when to do it.

The kid has a jump shot , but he's mechanincal in his game. In a league of pure athletes , channing would be better to go play overseas and get his confidence together.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Your right, he does not fit in with the NYknicks Style. He is young, not over paid and can shoot. What is NY knicks style by the way? A remake of the 1990s? Or the 1980's? Is it charlie Ward? Rory Sparrow? Funny how we miss H20 but labled him soft and one dimensional?

Channing is from New Jersey.

Under Isiah, he is lost, that I agree. He is not a raw jumping talent, he is a fundamental type player.

Maybe we should figure out how to make him better instead of just giving up on him.

Maybe we need a better coach.

When I mention he doesn't fit in, what I mean is this.

On a west coast good team, he could come off the bench and be a go to guy from the perimmitter bringing big men out of their range defensively like Bargania did to the knicks last night.

But NY under starbury doesn't have a pass 1st pg who went to school for a few yrs who understand how to play that style.

In NY curry demands the ball but doesn't know how to distribute out of the double team quick enough.

Also Francis and Marbury when they are on will only pass the ball when they run into a road block and that puts to much pressure on the shooter as the shot clock runs down.

He needs a change of scenery, why isiah drafted him still boggles my mind.

What is the NY STYLE YOU ASK?

It's not structured to feature everyone only a few.

This is why frye played better under LB who wanted a team oriented offense when it came to scoring and frye was more comfortable with that system contary to popular beliefs.

The ball pounding the knicks guard display does not and will not make frye a better player.

When all fails ...GO WEST YOUNG MAN.

Frye grew up out west in Arizona even though his parents are originally from white plains NY.

I agree with this sentiment. You've got a 6'11 guy with skills here. We're talking about a smart person and also someone who wants the responsibility. IF there's anything to the theory at all that Fryes development has been cut-short this year due to the offense running through Curry, then may want to rethink the "Channing is a ***" comments a little bit.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Is the main reason we consider Frye a disappointment because he was the 9th pick? Hasn't N8 been just as disappointing?

will this offense ever NOT go through curry from this point on? of course not. so where's frye's place then? it's the same as it is now, 20 feet from the basket waiting for the kick out.
