w/Q Rich's back condition & Jamal out for the rest of the season, this team really needs a player who can score off the bench if they want to make any serious run at a playoff berth this year... Jim Jackson would be as good a fit as any that's out there IMO.

whenever Balkman, Jefferies or Mardy are on the floor, their defenders completely disregard them & double down on Eddy... we need someone who can hit an open shot to make teams pay for doing so.

what about developing Mardy and Balk?
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Knicks need to trade frye for a lottery so they can draft a scorer at the 3 spot.

As far as Jimmy? Why not just as long as he isn't signed past this season.

Thank you.

i dont know if frye would yield a lotto pick, but i'm down with picking up a long range shooter in the draft. lets see who proves themselves this march.

any type of defense would also be appreciated, whether it be a guy who can D-up other teams slasher scorers or a shotblocker to intimidate, D definitely needs to be the motto of this offseason.

Simply put, you're not getting a lottery pick for Frye. Maybe a first-rounder, but not a very high one.

Frye is like some sort of Catch-22. He doesn't fit in with us, or at least has not managed to fit in, yet you know he has more talent than he's proven, so you'd hate to trade him for something other than a very good young player or a high pick.

depends on QRich's health. If Q has to miss more time, Jim Jackson makes sense.

Wouldn't any player they sign now be inelgible for the playoffs?

that's the thing w/Q, u jus't don't know when & where his back is going to lock up on you... if it happens in a must win game or the postseason (if they even make it), it would leave the team shorthanded... bring in a veteran like Jackson on a veteran's minimum deal to play out the rest of the year & give your team some depth just in case... & even if he's not eligible to play in the postseason (& i don't know if he would or wouldn't be eligible at this point), you might get Jamal back for the playoffs if they make it, but they have to make it there first.

i'd be fine w/trading Frye if we could get a top 20 1st round pick... we could still nab us a better player than he is at that level IMO.

he could be back tomorrow & then go down again the next day... that type of injury is something that comes & goes at the flip of a coin... u can feel great 1 day & then be totally locked up the next.
