good move by Reese IMO... this must be why the Giants were interested in bringing in WR Kevin Curtis from St. Louis.

I agree about the Kevin Curtis part. I'm not sure what I think about Droughens, he was good in Denver, but who isn't. I'll watch him closely, this coming season and give a better thought when I've seen him more.

Kevin Curtis would be a good pickup, but I don't think he's a savior and lets remember, this guy played for the Rams and what WR doesn't put up good stats there?

yeah, but we won't be looking at him to be a primary threat anyway... just take the place of Tim Carter as a slot receiver... having 2 speed burners like him & Moss would be a good thing to complement our bigger, more physical wideouts in Plex & Amani & Shockey at TE.

as for Droughns, he had a 1200 yard season the year before last in CLE, so i think he's a good back to have, & he can make catches out of the backfield too... plus he's 29, so i think he still has a couple good years left in him.

woulda cost a whole lot more than Tim Carter to get Willis McGahee or Jamal Lewis (FA money), & Travis Henry isn't very durable & not that good of a receiver out of the backfield... Droughns was the better fit for this team.

This trade was great. Tim Carter was a useless piece of ****. Reuben Droughns is a two time 1200 yard back and is excellent insurance for Jacobs. He also has experience playing FB and can catch the ball. His contract is way reasonable too.

"Droughns was due salaries of $1.25 million, $1.75 million and $2.75 million, respectively, over the next three seasons. We'll know in a few days if those numbers stand and if the contract has been shortened."

So we got a better or equal player than Dominic Rhodes at a cheaper price. I'm totally down for that.

Look at the stats again. He was also good in Cleveland. If you can be good in Cleveland, you're good.

Its a smart trade in my opinion. Its a different way of thinking than in the past. Nice trade, let's hope it works out.

The next move will be a little more telling. So far so good.

do you think they pick up a speedy back in the middle of the draft now like Wolfe
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)
