>>Coach Isiah Thomas has until Saturday to teach Curry how to combat the new defensive schemes. That's when the Knicks resume their playoff chase, in Washington.

"It's coming from a different place," Curry said. "They used to double me with a guard. I was able to [succeed] against a double from a smaller man. Now it's like you got two big guys on me."

One solution could be to force-feed Channing Frye and pray that his jumper is falling. GThe Knicks desperately miss Jamal's threat to score.

Marbury, as much as he tries, cannot do it alone.

Maybe if you didn't have jefferies out there and put someone on the floor that could actually score they might not be able to double eddy.

MS - the person who could actually score (Quentin) had his back act up at the worst possible moment. Who knows how bad he is hurting?

We love Balkman's energy but unfortunately he doesn't stretch a defense until he develops a jumper.

Nate, despite his maddening ways provides another outside threat, but he also had to shut it down.

Lee's troubles may be more serious than first thought. Please, oh please don't let him turn into another Grant Hill case study with chronic ankle problems. Please.

Until then

Get the ball to Frye and give him at least 15-17 FG attempts

Now here's yet another example. Any good center would be able to dish it off to an open man, when he's being double teamed. Instead we get an 'excuse' from Curry about how he's double teamed, with no idea what to do about it?
I'll never trust this' team again.

This is Frye's time to shine. So far this year has been nothing special for him. There rebounds and shots to be had.

4949 - you're correct. It is tough when you lose multiple players at once.

The Knicks without Quentin, Nate, Lee and Jamal Crawford are very different.

Let's mock them for trying.

And with that nice comment, I will admit that maybe it's not fair to call starbury a bum after all. I guess he's doing what he can, with what he is. I'll give him that much. Damn, a little human compassion afterall. How bout a few man hugs around here!
I'll never trust this' team again.

just read that as of today Lee is still feeling pain in his injury so I did a quick google for strained peroneal tendon.. check this out:
How is it treated?

Treatment may include:

* applying ice packs to your ankle for 20 to 30 minutes every 3 to 4 hours for 2 or 3 days or until the pain goes away
* elevating your ankle to help the swelling go away by lying down and placing your foot and ankle on a pillow
* wrapping an elastic bandage around your ankle to help keep the swelling down
* wearing a stirrup splint (called an Aircast or Gelcast) or a lace-up ankle brace as prescribed by your health care provider
* doing exercises to strengthen your peroneal muscles and tendons and to strengthen your ankle joint.

While you are recovering from your injury, you will need to change your sport or activity to one that will not make your condition worse. For example, you may need to bicycle or swim instead of run.
How long will the effects last?

The length of recovery depends on many factors such as your age, health, and if you have had a previous peroneal tendon injury. Recovery time also depends on the severity of the injury. A mild strain may recover within a few weeks, whereas a severe injury may take 6 weeks or longer to recover. You need to stop doing the activities that cause pain until your tendon has healed. If you continue doing activities that cause pain, your symptoms will return and it will take longer to recover.

it seems like from that snippet and what other players are saying, is that he probably won't heal until the summer and he should just play through the pain.

it's not his head he needs to find again... he needs to grow a heart (like several other guys on this team)

Lets just run down a check list.....

Jerome James is going to be a huge dissapointment and rarely tries, who signs him: Isiah

Jared Jefferies has pathetic career average, and was never that good, who signs him: Isiah

Channing is a ***** who didn't know that when we drafted him: Isiah

Stevenson and Ariza could have been signed for what jefferies makes and give us two young wing defenders for next to nothing.......ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Curry is one of the worst passing big men i have ever seen he just doesn't know what to do, he sits there and holds it till there is no daylight for him to pass...

Just extend the man already he has done a great job
