I don't know but this team has to find a way to get Curry the ball. It seems like without Jamal the rest of the team is having trouble feeding the ball in the post. Not only that, but it looks like Curry has to work harder to get a shot off.

Is Curry going through a slump or is it because Jamal is not on the court with him?

Its not when Craw is with him on the floor, its that Jeff/Balk/Collins are out there and their man is doubling down on Eddie
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

We have a starting 2 guard with the back court skills of alot of starting power forwards in the NBA. A small forward who is a backup. And a point guard who has to score for this team to even be only down be 10. Who is going to get curry easy shots???? NOBODY, but atleas we don't see crazy threes, stupid shots and bad defense anymore....... of wait.

That might also have to with Jamal also, because if Isiah puts another shooter besides Q on the court it will make it difficult for our opponents to double Curry. Our opponents can not leave Jamal open when he is on the court. So maybe Isiah might need to play Francis more to spread the offense so the defense cannot cheat.

Seriously, if I made a list of starting power forwards, how many do you think you would say dribble and pass better then Q????
Garrent/Yes
Dirk/Yes
Webber/Yes-Rwallace/Yes
Duncan/Yes
Stoudimare/Yes-Diaw/Yes
Bosh/Yes
JOniel/Yes
ECt....................... but he is the a better starter then crawford some how.

Jamal is the best at finding Curry, but when his shot is falling he also spreads the floor.

Right now we are in the worst of all situations regarding Curry. isiah has stagnated the offense so the D can set and collapse on him, and at the same time Jaml is out and Q and Frye are bricking.

So the sum total is the defense keying in on Curry and daring us to beat them from the outside, which we can not.

We've been surviving lately on Marbury's outside shooting, but we know how streaky that is.

Our main hope now is the offensive rebounding on Lee's return. High percentage outside shooting from Steph, Q and Francis is sporadic at best.

I think we should try to open up the offense with some running to try to exploit the athleticism of Lee, Balkman and Curry, but which PG can do that for us? Nate?

Curry is a supposed FRANCHISE PLAYER and FRANCHISE PLAYERS make their teammates better

THE END

When you have a center so far for the season totaling just 49ast, that's all you need to know about his game. I love what Kenny Smith said during the game, he said....."The Sonics are daring the Knicks/Curry to beat them with his passing". Then I got a real kick of Marbury giving Eddy pointers during the first qrt on passing out of the double team even dropping F-BOMBS while talking to him and he finished with 3ast. What a Comically bad basketball team.

So true. This is what I don't get about Frye. I mean, his shot is off because the defense knows all he can do is shoot. You would think he would be able to develop a good head fake so he can drive to the hole. I have yet to see him cut to the basket. Fine Frye can't dribble but can he try a jab step for once.

As far as Lee. We need this kid back fast. Think about it. We have Jeffries, Balkman, and Malik all which we can see can not really knock down a shot. But the difference is Lee knows how to cut to the basket. Lee's man will not leave him open because he is never standing still. He is always trying to cut to the basket for a basket. So it doesn't matter if Lee can't shoot. This is what Jeffries, Balkman and Frye have to learn to do.

Good points about Lee. Plus he has good hands, he's a good passer and a great finisher, so he catches everything thrown his way, and often makes either a good pass or a great finish.

The thing is we know Frye can play that way too. In sumer leagues and as part of the hustling second unit last year we saw Frye doing very well in uptempo systems. The guy can run the floor, he can dribble twice before shooting, and he's got a nice baby hook inside. He's one guy on this team who's healthy and could be contributing more if he weren't asked to be a 6'11 Kyle Korver.

also what johnwallace said about having Jeffries/Rose/Balkman/Collins out there. they just double up on curry and don't leave because they know none of them can shoot. isiah has to recognize these things and think more carefully about his subbing

agreed... Jamal is the guy that could make you pay for doubling down on Curry... w/o him on the floor, guys just need to double down on Curry immediately while keeping an eye on Steph or Q & completely disregard guys like Jefferies, Balkman & Collins out on the perimeter... that's why a guy like Jim Jackson could have really helped this team, because he can hit an open shot.

what's Jason Kidd's excuse this season? RJ being out? i thought injuries were no excuse? what about Dwight Howard? last time i checked that ORL team had some pretty good talent, but they're just as stagnant as the Knicks this year. how come Bogut & Redd can't get that Bucks team anywhere this season? & how about Chris Paul? or is he not a franchise player? Iverson? Melo? are these guys not franchise calibre talent? why are their teams wallowing in mediocrity? or are there excuses applicable to those teams that don't apply to ours?

Curry needs to work on his fundamentals.

When he gets double teamed, he tucks the ball behind his head like a moron, only to have someone strip it. Use your arm to outstretch the ball to keep it away from defenders you moron !!

btw, i'm not saying Curry is a franchise player... just don't get this notion that a franchise player will just by default carry his team to the postseason.

i did notice that... he seems to not know what do to w/the ball once the defenses collapse on him... they need to run him through more drills to get him used to that & have him learn what to do when it happens.

kidd makes his team mates better. paul makes his team better too. anyway you do still make a good point I think. there are supposed frachise players out there who don't make there team mates better. the best example is iverson. in fact he may even make them worse. sometimes I wonder if lebron does really makes his team better as well. I guess you don't have to make your team mates better to be a franchise player. you just have to be capable of putting up awesome stats I guess......

its kind of surprising that he would be averaging more assists without jamal. anyway its still too early to take these stats too seriously. more time has to pass for them to be meaningful.

Also it would be nice if someone cut to the basket. These guys stand around the perimeter waving their hands. Only Lee and Balk have enough sense to cut.

The team has emphasized Eddy less and less since the all-star break. It's almost as if Isiah was really pushing to get Eddy in as an all-star and when that endeavor failed -- Isiah just switched it up and told Marbury he has the green light to do whatever he wants.
