As i posted in the blog:

Isiah why do you even SAY that? Seriously WHY????

I hate HATE HATE HATE how this guy just hands out excuses before games like they were some sort of flyers for cablevisions TRIPLE PLAY package.

Your quote is ACCURATE.. but WHY say it? There is no need, its just the wrong mentality. Would Isiah have that mentality as a PLAYER? Never. So why have it as a coach?

We have to expect more from this team, it starts at the top ZEKE!

Well, it's not a make or break game...

It is imperative we win, but even if we lose this one, I don't see any of the other 5 very catchable teams leaving us in the dust.

he is right that getting into a tie/half game lead for that 8th spot now doesn't mean much for the team's prospects, it's still wide open win or lose.

but has he EVER challenged this team? set a tangible goal for them? i can't think of an example...

You guys forget that Isiah pathologically fibs and tells half-truths to the media? Don't take it too serious.

That scheming Isiah...

Is it or isn't it a make or break? Nobody knows. Now it'll be impossible for Seattle to prepare for us.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Isiah should have said: "Tonight's game is a big test for this team. It's gonna be an indicator of how much our guys want it. If I have done my job and if the players are serious, then we're gonna take care of business at home and continue to take control of our destiny in this race towards the playoffs."

I don't understand why he continues to play expectation control. It's like he's more proactive regarding fan response than he is proactive in terms of preventing let downs.

ISAYUGH can't help but let the tough guy in him show. This is how they communicate from the WEST SIDE OF CHICAGO.

This FRAUD coach is a SAP, his players have no accountability and no pressure.

If they lose tonight it's because Lewis and Ray Ray were too good.

I would like a reporter to ask ISAYUGH when a team beats his club what does he think the other team is playing for?

Particularly against those teams who are pretty much out of the race.

Terrible excuse. What's the reason behind lying to the media? Certainly not to get his own team pumped. Why would he want to hold guys accountable if they come out flat this time????
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

It's one thing to lie about potential trades / FA acquisitions -- this is not an analogous situation.

i'm sure Isiah's made challenges like the one you guys want to see from him to his team before & has been let down each time.

More Isiah quotes to bitch over

"It's realistic," Knicks coach Isiah Thomas said of the team's playoff chances.

"We are closer. The race is tighter. We're right where we hoped to be in March and April, playing meaningful games and having a chance to get in the playoffs, knocking on the door. I'm pleased with the way we're playing."

Lying to the media

Failing to perpare his team on the eve of a big game

Selling popcorn during the season

Failing to tie both shoes identically

Telling David Lee he hates him

Isiah is The Debbil

>>i guess we fans want it more than isiah does

Isiah has been rumored to be staying at home in Westchester due to the fact he doesn't "want it" as much as the fans.

The shootaround was cancelled in favor of an extended buffet line in the locker room

The Knicks players don't care what happens because their coach is a slackard and a lazy bum
