Mike Dougherty's Blog:
The ice machine is working overtime.

Honestly, there’s not a regular in the NBA who doesn’t have some kind of nagging injury at this point in the season. It’s been a while since the Knicks had enough players to go hard in practice.

David Lee came back today, which helped.

A right leg injury continues to be a source of pain, but he was reportedly moving better. The expected return to the lineup tomorrow against the Sonics is now iffy.

“I have no clue right now,” Lee said. “It was pretty sore today, but I must be making good progress because I was able to go through the full drills that we did. I wouldn’t have been able to do that a couple of days ago.”

He will check in with trainers at shoot-around this morning before a decision is made.

Quentin Richardson was also on the court. He only played 10 minutes the other night because of a stiff back. It’s a problem that isn’t going away. Richardson is wearing an elastic brace for support on and off the court now.

Nate Robinson showed up for 10 minutes and was sent back home. The stomach virus diagnosis was confirmed on Sunday by a specialist.

“Nate is really sick,” Knicks coach Isiah Thomas said. “You hope that the bug goes away soon, but you don’t like to see a guy looking and feeling the way he’s been feeling.”

Stephon Marbury wasn’t slowed much because of the turf toe or bad knee, and Steve Francis kept up fine despite his issues.

Well, the Seattle game is very important, but there's no sense to bringing a player back before he's ready. Hopefully we'll be in better shape after this game.

Don't be so hard on Nate. We all know the kind of germs that fly around in pre-school.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System
