The Pacers are really struggling right now. They have tons of off and on the court issues. 8 of their next 14 games are on the road which includes 2 more games out west (Sac, Utah) and a Texas trip.

This team is definitely comming back to the pack. Since the trade, they are lacking that spark. Not as aggressive as they were.

The Pacers can beat Sac and I don't know about them beating the Jazz at home. The good news is we play the Sonics next. That should be a win. Ray Allen is out for the rest of the year.

The ideal scenario would be to get into the 7th seed anyway. I can't see us beating Detroit in a playoff game, but Cleveland doesn't scare me.

There's really no team in the East that the Knicks can't compete with in the outside of Detroit and maybe NJ because of their intelligent play.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Yeah, Pacers will be easier to catch than Miami. their new lineup doesn't seem to have enough scoring.

The bottom 3 playoff teams in the East are all catchable right now. I think the target should be to get AT LEAST the 7th seed. I think it's a realistic goal considering the way those teams are playing right now. I didn't even realize that Orlando had continued to fall off. I think if you can make the playoffs and avoid Detroit all of the other teams are beatable in a series.

What do you guys think will be the benchmark for us to get into the playoffs? 40 games?

Playing .500 ball would get us to 39 wins. So 40 might be enough to sneak in. To get to the 7th seed, you'd think we would need 42-43 wins.

We might have to win 40 or 41 to get in. I also think we have to look out for the Hornets. We need to beat the Hornets when we play against them. We play them twice before the season is over.

The Knicks have a shot to make up a lot of ground this month. We can Pass NJ if they lose in Philly today and we win on Tues. NJ has a brutal schedule and we have a light schedule. We'll have some needed days off, more home games and only 2 back to backs left in March. So Indy is also a team we have a shot at catching, if we can take care of business at home.

I don't think we can pass Miami (same record as Indiana now), but I think we can pass Indiana and New Jersey. We need to beat New Jersey at least once in April, if not twice.

Jersey has a Texas road trip coming up where they play @Houston, @San Antonio and @Dallas. I'd be shocked if they won any of those.

We beat Miami, so we can pass them. They're playing well now, but I don't think the can keep it up without Wade.
