Francis looked good tonight.

Do you think he can finish the year strong with Marbury in the backcourt?

It was always a lie and I never believed it. He may have had some personal problems but he's been no more injured than anyone else nor to the degree they were leading us to believe. I also don't think Marbury was all that injured a few weeks back. These guys are at their best when they are in shape and the focal point of the offense when they aren't they are very mediocre to bad players.

yeah he looked good tonight...but until he stops those wild passes in the paint where he drives and tries to pass around 3 defenders to a big man I still wont like him too much

He was good tonight but its pissing me off that he hasn't played this way the whole time! His best game up until last night was that pre- season game where he had 30plus. Totally sickening.

Francis over dribbles and chucks. He had a few moves where he had an open hit on either side of him yet decided to take the shot. Yeah he stil scored but those plays you have to give it up. You gotta feed your teamates and keep guys in the game.

Francis is a good player. Can he maintain the intensity? How bout the game face Francis showed? Its great but where the **** was it all this time.

I think francis is a selfish mofo. He wants a certain amount of special treatement and he needs to be able to put up shots. He has to learn to be a team player and just play the game and stop acting like a bitch.

Ah man. Go knicks man! Knicks need francis to be himself! Franchise and Starbury! Bring it baby!

it's pretty damning of Francis that he was talking about shutting it down for the season on Monday, then Jamal gets injured, suddenly Francis has a role and he's scoring 20+ in his second game back.

I don't know, it looks bad, I hope I'm wrong and he had a miraculous recovery and he's back for the rest of the season and plays hard and well, but I really do not trust the guy.

I think it is hard for him to be good when he has been in and out of the lineup. At times even missing months of basketball. Then when he does play he only get's limited minutes from Isiah. In order to play good with your team a player has to be on the court. Anything else is just a theory. Francis needed real minutes.

As far as next game who the hell knows. I do like the fact that he drives to the hole and rebounds.

Francis is a black hole on offense. He needs to learn to score more like Marbury. Give the ball up and get in position to get it back in a better scoring position. Stop all the over dribbling. AND GIVE THE BALL TO CURRY ON THE POST. I am tired of seeing our most dominant low post scorer not get the ball. Hopefully they did that because Curry was not making his free throws last night. Otherwise, we need to let Curry touch the ball at least once every third time down the court.

I am surprised that you gs are making such wide conclusions from one game with... Atlanta. Nice benchmark...

I can make my mind about Steve only after he will play big minutes in 3-4 games.
Otherwise it is just a glitch... happened with everyone.

I told my brother that exact same thing before the game and my father during the game. If he comes back and starts averaging 16-20 points and playing like Stevie Franchise, it's not going to look. I am happy to see him play so great but wondering exactly what his motvations are. When he hit that and 1 where he was talking to the crowd, I made a joke that he was celebrating because he was increasing his trade value so he can get out of here.

by the same token, if he helps get us to the playoffs and we are somehow able to trade him because of that this off season, I'd be very okay with that. still, it's hard to root for the guy.

I think Francis will play well for the fact that he want's to get traded. And I'm sure Isiah wants to trade him. Don't be surprised if Francis remains in the starting lineup even when Q aka Quarter Back returns.

Big C - I don't buy the getting real minutes BS. Isiahs vision is to start a marbs and francis backcourt. Francis totally sucked!!! Francis didn't earn his minutes. Just like frye thinks he did but didn't. Frye and francis have yet to earn anything and they shouldn't get anything especially sympathy or respect from anyone except their mamas.

Now if francis can awaken just like marbs did in January then let's do this! I will root for him but right now I simply can't. He's gotta show and prove.

Solid points. At the same time Marbury played bad in the beginning of the year. It took time for him to adjust and get his game back. Francis never had that luxury.

As far as Frye I don't know what the hell is going on. He is still having a hang over from that party that he and Richard Jefferson went to.

I can give francis a pass for being hurt but how do you go from shutting it down for the year to basically dominating a game. Yeah its Atlanta but those guys have beaten the knicks already not to mention they aren't that far behind the knicks.

Hopefully francis can enjoy his life now that Crawford isn't around to take his spotlight.

I think part of it was Francis did not have his first step back and was not starting earlier this year. So he probably said the hell with this. When Jamal went down he was probably thinking now is his time to shine and at the same time get the hell out of NY.

I don't think you can assume that because a guy played well, he doesn't have a very serious injury. I remember in April, 2003 Allan Houston had just completed the best season of his career. A few weeks later he would have microfracture surgery and his career would basically be over. If he had stopped playing at the first sign of a serious problem in 2003, maybe he'd still be knocking down 3s for us today.
