There's only one way to get out of this whole mess and make this team a power house. Save the money. Let the contracts run out. David Lee is the ONLY' guy worth keeping. We could be going after guys like Carmelo Anthony, Gilbert Arenas, Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, Dirk, Dwight Howard and a whole host of up and coming superstars. Guys like Iverson, Kobe, Tim Duncan, Shaq will all be going out of style in about two or three more years. The unique thing about the Knicks is we have plenty of money to spend. It's just that's it's tied up right now. If we save the money and only sign bonified players, superstars, then it will be well worth the wait and the investment. Whenever any of our players are in they're last year, trade them for draft picks. We could be offering free agent superstars 15 to 18 million, four or five years contracts, with the steady flow of draft picks coming in to make a franchise that can compete for years to come. We could actually win a couple of championships with great players, but this can only happen if the money is handled the right way. First off, stop sabitoshing the money and save it. Spend big, only if a superstar free agent is available and wants to play in New York of course. I can't see any other way of getting any better. I don't care who the GM or coach is, but the way the money is handled and the length of the contract is more key than anything else. Does this math hold up?
I'll never trust this' team again.
