UK basketball freaks,

Martin, the brains behind the ultimateknicks.com success story (no offense Andrew ), has created a new kind of basketball fantasy game.

Its a one-day only game, so you dont have to hang around all season to figure out whether you won or not. Basically, you pick a team of 7 players from all those active today, you get entered into a public league (there are by-invitation-only private leagues as well, uk.com haters welcome) and you accrue stats like in a regular fantasy game. At the end of the night, there is only one man left standing. There are also salary restrictions (you only have $75m to spend, IT would suck at this), so everyone doesnt pick the same players. Martin has come up with an awesome formula to figure out fantasy salaries (check out Eddy Curry!! and more surprisingly, Q).

Its in BETA mode right now, so any suggestions would be great!

Have a look, try it out, and let us know what you guys think.

that sounds hot lets do it for money

in other fantasy news: I was first place in my league but i had to drop Jamal....... I actually picked up Steve Francis in his place... quite a dropoff but whatever hopefully franchise puts up some #s

I am most definitely apart of this project but firefly and others have had a more than equal share in its development from idea to game to website.

This is still a work in progress and feedback would be appreciated.

We are adding touches and pieces here and there to improve the experience and know-how of the game. I do believe that one end goal is to have it as a participate-by-anteing-up game, with winner grabbing the prize.

Right now you can create a Private league and invite and play against the same participants on a nightly basis. Create up to 3 different lineups a night and submit them in the Public space and compete again randomly formed leagues.

Some good suggestions we have had include somehow making the game more than just a nightly one (perhaps you play on a nightly basis but winner isn’t declared until X number of days has been played). Tournament style games whereby if you win one night you move on to the next round and play again. Like that. Let us know your suggestions.

I think there should be a list of public leagues to join as well as the option to start a private league.

Do you ahve to have 4 players for a private league? is less or more acceptable?
