I didn't see the game. I guess he got as many minutes as he did because Robinson was out. I was very curious about how he looked, because it's probably the first time this season that he got major minutes.

IMO, he played solid defense, but was lost on offense and had a few TO's. He is still not ready to run this team as the PG. That being said, I think that he will eventually develop into a solid (but not spectacular player) like a young Aaron McKie or Eric Snow.

His first time out was a bust, but he was better the next time he came in. Impressive defensively. He made one long jumper that I remember but missed some and did not look that comfortable. He made good entry passes in to Curry. He took one dribble in towards his right and stopped and shot a medium range jumper, and I was shocked at how comfortable he looked doing it. Like The Game, I think he will be more than solid. He defelcted alot of passes, that didn't resulted in TO's, but he was making his presence felt.

Mardy simply needs some time to gain his confidence. It was good to see him improve after a shaky start.

You gotta come back strong after Rajon Rondo gets a piece of a dunk attempt.

Who told Malik Rose he had license to shoot every time he touched the ball?

he projects to being a solid backup from what i can see... he's not starter material IMO.

Rondo is a great all around player that just sucks on offense and he also plays good d, hopefully he never gets a jumper....

I thought Mardy looked good out there I think you need more players out there in order to win he did have 5assists which was a concern of posters, looking to replace jamals assists.

I really think in the long run if Nate can be consistent we will be better off with a guy that plays solid defense, we just need a scoring two guard now, that isn't crawford. He will develop into a solid role player type which is what we need

Mardy could be a decent backup. Hes a good defender and he feeds the post well probobly as good if not better than any of our gaurds. He needs to work on his shot. He lacks some poise but I think that will come with experience

He looked BIG to me. In a big SG kind of way, but not slow because of it. His potential tops out as a Charlie Ward type.

SOLID! After his shaky start. I have been wanting to see this kid get a chance for a long time and tho he's not spectacular, he is a very good defender and that helped us to get back in the game. He'll only get better with more experience and as he works on his game.

Thanks, guys. That sounds like a pretty good report for a rookie drafted at the end of the first round who hasn't played much yet. The defense was understood. That's his rep. But I'm encouraged to hear that his entry passes were good. As was said, he sounds like he'll develop into a good backup - maybe more if he can also develop a good shot.

Question is-Did Mardy look like he is a PG or more of a SG/SF type?

For me it's really hard to tell what position he projects to be. When he's on the court he's normally omitted from the offense. It's only rare occassions where they let him handle the ball.
I just hope that people will like me

He's a combo guard who can play some point. Active hands and feet defensively and gets lots of tips and some steals. Not a good shooter who misses most of his jumpers waaay long or way to the left or right (which is not a good sign. Usually good shooters miss short).

I still need to see more of him. Saw more potential in Frank Williams but obviously Frank had other issues besides just skills to deal with.

More athletic than I thought. He missed the dunk but he went for it nice and Rondo made a great play blocking a dunk from above!

Later Collins dunked the air-ball and that is a nice feature for a PG, I think he can rebound and score on put-backs and maybe even get to the line.

As big as he is, I wonder if he can post up and punish smaller PG's a little, like Q does to SG's and skinny SF's.

I like Mardy.

Mardy looks solid. It's frustrating that he got so many DNP-CDs only because of his salary.

Man' he should be starting and playing full minutes every game. I wanna see him mug someone else and start a huge fight. I think him and carmelo would be pretty good combo. Wait a minute. Carmelo? Who needs him?
I'll never trust this' team again.
