It's clear James is useless bc he couldn't guard shaq or anyone for that matter. When Rose came into the game he guarded shaq much better. Rose could provide a defensive boost to start the game, in addition to being able hit the occasional jumpshot.

My proposed new 9 man rotation would be:

Pg: Marbury, (Crawford)
Sg: Crawford, Jefferies
Sf: Q-Rich, Balkman
Pf: Rose, Lee
C: Curry, Frye

I'd rather Rose play than James, but I'm worried that Rose, by being better and not fouling everything, would actually start to eat into Lee's minutes.

for one I wasn't surprised Rose was so successful against Shaq. go back into your memory vault, remember the first (I think) game we played vs San Antonio, it was like the 2nd week into the season where we faced a bunch of elite teams in 1 week, something like San Antonio, Miami, Houston. we were down by 20 points, in the 4th quarter we made that big 20-2 run and a lot of it had to do with putting Rose in on his old buddy Tim Duncan. (we ended up losing that game by the way)

i'd rather see Cato playing over both of them... but Malik did some good things last night... gotta give him props... almost cost us a chance to put the game away on that botched pass off to Curry that bounced over to Jamal in the corner tho, but he was trying to make a play, so can't kill him for it.

Id rather see James start, because Lee ges in teh games quicker
