Curry is the softest 19-20 points you'll ever see

Curry might score 20 points, like he almost did last night, but he usually has little impact, like he did last night. He's not a player that dominates a game by any stretch of the imagination.

It's like his ceiling is 20 points. The way people talk about how "great" he is offensively, you'd think he would have gone off for 30+ points more than just 3 times all year.

But this is supposed to be our franchise player and the guy who's going to lead us to a championship?

I agree. Its not that his 20 points are soft, but that is all he does is score 20 pts. He doesnt rebound well, he doesnt block shoots or play defense, and he isnt intimidating. For us to win a championship Curry will be one of the pieces, but not the main piece.

the knicks didnt feature curry last night because the perimeter guys had it going. it just goes to show you how badly assembled this team is.

and as for the 4 rebounds, well he needed to get those in order to average out the 11 he got last game closer to 7.

At least we only gave up six draft picks for Curry and Marbury. It's not like we gave up much.

well I'm still a big curry critic, I give him credit because he is definitely more aggressive offensively this year. he battles for position a lot more, and if you watched him yesterday vs NJ, sure he only had 20 Pts kind of quietly but he was throwing jason collins and shoving people around, he was getting angry and I'm sure if collins flopped one more time he was going to go at him. curry from last year wouldn't have been that aggressive, so I do think he is more active on the offense this year

I think the heart problem that Bulls was really concerned with Curry was not medical.
He has no heart to play the game.
I was on the game yesterday. Everything on the court is probably irrelevant to him except his own offense.
He is really upset when he misses the lay-up or get offensive foul. All other times he just has this look on his face "This is not me, it's not my fault"
Also he is very predictable player and teams are adjusting well to his game, especially in second half. And they know how to use his defensive liability.

It's worse than Marb's 20/8 because Marbury at least was a good half court passer (pick and roll, pick and pop, penetrate and dish) in addition to scoring in a variety of ways. Curry does nothing other than score (or turn the ball over) in the low post

I'm sick of people saying top 3 center in NBA. He's getting way overrated. Big deal he scores a quiet 20. He gives up more than 20 by not crashing boards, playing defense and shot blocking. Plus he's 1 of worst passing big men in history of NBA.

He's already way overrated. He'll get you 2 to 3 easy baskets a quarter but he'll let 1-2 players blow by him for a layup every quarter. Vince Carter was going to the hole for another dunk last night and Curry was one step away from getting into his way but instead taking that step, he reached down, waited for VC to come by and tried a pathetic hand slap at the ball. Needless to say Vince dunked it.

Aside from getting easy baskets, that his teammates should get most of the credit for, Curry is below average in everything.

So you're agreeing that Curry is a decent offensive scorer and does absolutely nothing else, like Smits.

The Pacers were smart enough not to build their franchise around the Dunkin Dutchman but used him appropriately as a complementary player. The Knicks and Isiah are so stupid they think they can build around Curry.

Somewhat...He has improved over the last three games I have watch...He seem to be making an effort now on the defensive end...we will see though...He can play so much better defensively it's not funny...Maybe there is something to your observation about his conditioning and weight in other posts...But the kid needs to pick it up badly...The frustrating part is that he can do it, it's all desire with him...

As we speak Curry is dominating, he has 15 and none of his points are quiet.

Make that 17.
Make that 19. and 10 rebounds...um excuse me make that 21 'AND 1', and as I was saying 5 of his rebounds are offensive.
And O'neal has 4 fouls.
He also just got called for a goal tending for trying to block Shaq.
Hes playing very well tonight.

Curry is a force, he's having a very strong offensive game. But he reminds me a bit of Marbury, who was also a force early in his career, but an unbridled one. Until one knows what to do with their power it can be squandered. There's a limited time for some guys to get it together before they fall apart.

Meanwhile, nice assist to Frye.

I think DJ said it best --

If we're still questioning what a guy brings to the table 6,8, 10 years into his career............

Well I think that says it all.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
