Salim's a pretty good shooter, very similar to Eddie House... instant offense off the bench & can catch fire really quick... he woulda gave us a big glut at the G spot though.

would you have done Salim for Mardy Collins?

Probably not because Mardy plays defense and is a bigger sized gaurd. The problem with this team is defense not having the lack of 1 dimensional combo shooting gaurds.

I like Salim. But we have no PT for another undersized PG, and if it is a choice between Salim and Collins, I will take Collins. IT picked him and IT usually picks people that can play. If Collins can develop into a player with his size and defensive ability, we would really have a nice big PG that we can use to create matchup problems. Nate is at least equal to and might be better than Salim.

Nate's a better all-around player, but Salim shooting is an exceptional skill that the Knicks lack. He'd be more valuable to the Knicks as currently constructed than Nate is, who is more or less the same type of player as Francis (and Marbury/Crawford), though smaller and quicker.
