Question: Do you guys think Paxson would still make the Curry trade knowing what he knows now?

John Paxson was on Mike & Mike this morning... he was pointing out the fact that his Bulls team lacked a low post scoring presence, & that he tried to explore trade options to address that at the deadline. If he could go back in time, do you guys think he would he have made the Eddy Curry trade w/the Knicks?

I'm sure the Bulls would make the deal over and over as long as Curry didn't take a DNA test. They probably still believe Curry is going to drop dead on the court one day.

It was a good trade for the Knicks. The negative to it was last year's debacle, which set us back a season, whomever you want to blame for it.

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

I think he would still do it. Not sure that Tyrus was the best pick available though.
We've seen Curry step up this year true. Still has lots of holes in his game, and no
guarantees this will be the Curry from now on. But one can hope!

let's say he keeps Curry, drafts a shotblocking presence w/the pick they used to get Sefolosha, & signs a rebounder like Reggie Evans w/the MLE... don't u guys think that Bulls team would be a lot better off than they are now?

that wasn't the question... i still think paxson does the trade.

knowing what they do now, maybe they draft someone else. and maybe they pull harder to get lee in the deal. but i think they'd had it with eddy- i don't think the health risks were the main issue they had in letting him go for our package.

if he kept Curry he wouldnt have Ben Wallace to put next to him. I have no doubt he still makes the trade.

Eddy has becomes a lethal scorer but he's also exibited all the justifications for the Bulls letting him go.

Bulls were a good defensive team last yr without Wallace. A Curry like low post presence is the missing piece to possible bid to the championship round with or without Wallace.

I actually think the move that really hurt him was trading Chandler who has been great for the Hornets.....

I wouldn't do the deal if i was the knicks over again, and i think paxson would do it in a heart beat they need another scorer and i am pretty sure someone like Jason Richardson would be a nice pickup for them....

However thats the one team where eddys lack of defense can be overlooked because they have a bunch of good defenders

two unprotected lottery picks? He could end up with the first pick in this year's draft.

there will be about a 1 in 100 chance of him landing the #1 pick from the Knicks if they continue on their current pace... he's more likely going to land the #10-#12 pick, while the Knicks get the #18-#20 pick.

Nobody expected the disaster that occured last yr with LB. So in the same vien, nobody expected the Knicks would give up a number 2 pick as most thought the Knicks would have a legit shot at a playoff spot last yr which would have had the Bulls picking 14-18 perhaps. Not trying to defend Isiah, because regardless, he still should have protected that pick in the top-5 at least.

crawford and curry were a big reason for the bulls short comings........

this team can never be good as long as they are both on the team

Yes, the Bulls are a defensive and guard oriented team, Curry has no place on their roster.

Here's a list of good defenders a team could try to surround Curry with. I wonder how it would work out! Ty Chandler, a younger AD, Chris Duhon, Kirk Hinrich, Luol Deng, Andres Nocioni.

Deng & Nocioni were both inexperienced rooks... Chandler was just coming into his own too... put that team back together now & they're a contender for sure.
