This guy is a complete failure! He's not even worth trading anymore. What happened to this guy. He's soft and can't bring anything to the table. He's had more than enough time to make some noise, to make something of himself here. Lee's thriving and little ass nit-nate is at least repeating what he was doing last year, so what's wrong with Channing? I'm just not seeing it. What a mistake draft pick.
I'll never trust this' team again.

i agree with yoiu about channing. i'd be happy to package him and give some other young player a chance here.

he really went downhill since that knee injury last year... it's like all his confidence was sucked away & he came back a really timid player.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

He just is slow. He not skilled at all. All he can do is shoot, and he can make hook shots but when was the last time he did that.

You can't blame isiah on this one. Isiah doesn't tell frye to play like a gay robot.

Bill laimbeer was a jumpshooting bigman. Nothing stopped him from doing his thing. One of the most intense mofos in the game.

The only time you see frye fired up is at the refs.

Duncan? Garnett? Sheed? Hell freakin no!!! Not even Danny schayes I tell you not even Danny freakin schayes!!!

add me to the list...It's after the all star break.

it's now open season on suckas.

It's not about hatin', it's about what it is.

And frye better start dunking and doing what he used to do LAST YEAR.

I mean, am I the only one that remembers the dunks and blocks from last year?

Don't trade him because that may be the thing that lights a fire under him.

Bury him on the bench!

nobody is allowed to leave the knicks and play better elsewhere from here on out.
Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Frye's taking a lot of blame for stuff that's not his fault. Is it his fault Crawford doesn't guard? Is it his fault Marbury's knee can't handle back to backs? Is it his fault Curry doesn't defend? Is it his fault Jefferies is a bust? Is it his fault Q had a bad game? Is it his fault that Dlee was out?

No.

Frye's been disappointing, but he's taking the brunt of the abuse for no good reason.

he really went downhill since that knee injury last year... it's like all his confidence was sucked away & he came back a really timid player.

If memory serves me, he started summer league with a vengence, then got hurt again, and was soft after that.

I think a few of things are playing a role.

1. He seems a bit brittle, which combined with a lanky clumsiness might have him playing cautious.

2. He was a negative talker in the off-season and I think he jinxed himself by raising the stakes on expectations.

3. I think he might respond to higher demands and a tougher style of coaching than the 'wine and roses' style of Isiah.

4. Positioning. Again, if memory serves me, last season Frye was setting up around the foul line where he would often put the ball on the floor, bring it into the paint or to the rim. This year he's told to give Eddy plenty of room and he's loitering around the 3 point line. He's got good range to his shot, but those are diminishing percentages out there.

5. He might be a "volume" shooter. I'm not sure occasional spot-up shots allow him to find a rhythm.

6. He's in an awkward position relative to the roster. He battles for minutes between Eddy (the franchise) Curry, and Leebound, his best friend and the most productive player on the team, If he's playing well one of those guys' minutes may suffer, and if he's playing poorly he's shunted to the bench to knit socks for Steph's kids.

7. Careful what you wish for, Channing. He wanted consistency in his role and now it's all jump shooting every day. But when the shot ain't falling, he's got nowhere to go.

If I were isiah I'd tell him to not worry about scoring. Tell him to go out there and set screens, rebound, block shots and make your presence felt in every way but the scoreboard. If Frye feels he's at cause in the matter of winning his shot will return.

if i were isiah I would bring him in when curry comes out...i think he can do alot of what curry does...there was one game this season when he first came off the bench where he did just that...he posted up and was hitting his hooks and his j...Isiah said it was his job to get players to play to their potential Isiah needs to do that here.

That's another good option, the problem is that Eddy's time on the bench is expected to decrease to minimal values. Frye's never gonna amount to much at 10 mpg.

That's why I think Isiah wanted to keep him starting. Once on the bench it gets harder and harder to find time for him.

I think this is a lot of the issue- When Frye is getting shots, he is much deeper than he was last year.

With all the focus on dumping into Curry, they are looking to create spacing. If Frye could shoot 3's like a rasheed wallace, he'd been doing ok alongside Curry.

Frey reminds me of Brad Sellers. Brad Sellers was a bust who made himself useful on the court. Frey needs to worry less about scoring and make himself useful.

JJ2 reminds me of Sellers too. The Knicks have 2 Brad Sellers's. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
