Sixers Announce Henderson To Utah Deal
22nd February, 2007 - 5:17 pm
RealGM -
Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King announced today that the Sixers have traded forward Alan Henderson to the Utah Jazz for the rights to exchange second round draft picks in the 2007 NBA Draft. In addition the Jazz will receive cash considerations from the Sixers.

"This move gives us increased flexibility and provides us with additional options on draft day," said King.

The Jazz are expected to waive Henderson.

A 6-foot-9 forward, Henderson has averaged 7.9 points and 5.0 rebounds in 648 career games (220 starts) with four teams: Atlanta (1995-2004), Dallas (2004-05), Cleveland (2005-06) and Philadelphia (2006-07). Playing in his 12th NBA season, Henderson is averaging 3.5 points and 3.1 rebounds in 34 games (5 starts). [READ]

Whoa!!! For the rights to exchange second rounders??? WOW, that trade will change the NBA for years to come! What a trade! Boy was I wrong when I said this was a slow trade deadline!

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

i don't get how this deal is possible w/o some salary going back to the Sixers? neither of these teams are under the cap.

I think if the knicks offer to pay one of they're players a one year salary, they'd make the move. Maybe we can throw barbosa in also.
I'll never trust this' team again.
