That is kinda of crazy because before the allstar break Charles Barkley said Dennis Johnson would roll in his grave if the Celtics were to win games w/o Pierce. I assumed he said it out of stupidity but damn

Well, Chuck always does the "rolling in his grave" line for people who are still alive. :)

Sucks about DJ. I was just watching him hit the winning shot against the Lakers on NBA TV last night.

It seems like just yesterday I would sit in the Garden, watch the Knicks leave DJ open because they had no choice, and just become so sad because he always hit just enough shots. RIP

DJ was a good player, a solid PG for those teams. 52 is too young to die.

Damn man. 52? He was still a young man.

Never wanna here news like this. I don't know anything about him other that he was an annoying ass. I thought he was 52 back in the 80s!!!

Peace DJ! You were one of the good ones.

eny you would have LOVED his game! he was built like jkidd, played tough man-to-man, directed the offense, natural leader type, clutch shooter. a winner everywhere he went. had a little clyde in him, just lacked the speed.

I saw him play the game and he was good. All I'm saying is, I don't feel sorry for the Celtics. They deserve the bad season.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I used to catch celtics games during the 80's- think it was channel 20. And that group was something else- they were too good- always seemed to win- not fast players- but smart and could pass the ball.

52 is too young to go-
