Carter is what nalod would call Starphuching, and we dont need that now, this team needs defense and a consistent scorer after Eddy Curry,

Carter plays no defense and he may give u 23 points per night, but his shots can either help u win, or kill u. What would Ezekiel do if carter opts out, basically if he did it would be like an expiring deal...

i want no part of carter because he wouldnt help this team in anyway or form, and if we got him in the expense of balkman or frye i will be real upset

This team needs a stud wing like Carter but they don't need a stud wing who is 30 years old and his game is based on athleticism. 3 years from now, the max deal that Carter signs this offseason is going to look pretty bad. Carter is still a very good player but the Knicks need to be rebuilding around young guys, not old ones.

Well... I'm very much in favor of trading for a player of Carter's caliber. He's an established offensive threat that isn't too prone to off-nights because he draws a lot of fouls. Carter is a world-class scoring threat, up there with the likes of Kobe, Wade, & Arenas. Teams gear up around stopping him, yet he produces.

Carter would help spread the floor... and would add good size/quickness to our tiny back-court. With him on the floor, you could afford to have Balkman, Jefferies, and Lee on the floor at the same time.

He'd make the team better, but at what price? I don't really see the trade happening, but if we lost Crawford, we'd be taking away Curry's best buddy and best alley-oop partner.

I agree- wouldn't mind adding Carter- but the question is at what price.

It would have to be low enough so that if he left, you'd be ok with the savings on salary.

It might not be better defense, but he would be a consistent scorer after Eddy and we would be much better...but its not happening so whatever.

if the deal was for Malik, Frye and Crawford I would do it. I like Frye but he's wasting away so long as we in the Curry era.

VC makes us better right away. He's a tough competitor that likes to win. He's a good rebounder and a good passer. He's 1000 times better than Crawford, who will probably never get a chance to be PG here anyway.

Also VC has a lot of value around the league, both as a fan favorite and VERY productive player. Whats he's averaging? 25/5/5 on 45% or something like that. He's not just a scorer. He makes plays and rebounds and is a game finisher.

I would have liked to see Crawford get his shot at PG. Not for a week, like for a year, but in the Isiah/Franbury era that doesnt look likely.
