#1 Other gm's in the league have it in for him for whatever reason.

#2 They will only deal with zeke when they feel he's getting fleeced

#3 Isiah overpays non dedicated or lowend production players money that they haven't earned by their play, thinking they would reward him in return. (80's mentality)

#4 He thought that by siding with the players (over LB) that he would get them to run thru a wall for him night in and night out.

#5 Isiah has fleeced Dolan of his unlimited pocket book and now Dolan could be gun shy to

mke deals that can really help us.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I think all of this is very much overstated. Don't be so fatalistic about things. We want this team to stop playing up and down and especially against weak teams. For whatever reason we can get up for good teams but just don't play with the same intensity and focus against the poor teams. So to me it's not a matter of this team not being good, but like the mental block we used to have at home early in the season. This is another mental hurdle we need to conquer.

A little bit of a problem with last nights game was the absence of Lee who to me is one of our top players. Steph, Curry and Lee are the top 3 on this team in terms of importance and dependability. There's a steep falloff after that.

Also Isiah himself is part of the problem. His coaching decisions can be somewhat of a problem when it comes to how he's using the roster. I'm not convinced that he's making all the right Rotation decisions. He still seems to be conflicted by his rosters make up. To me if he had made that deal with Francis or found a way to trade him, then that would simplify the situation and he could play guys like Balkman, Collins and Nate without any hesitance. In the long run I think that is what's best for the team. We still have plenty of other opportunities coming up to get past this problem, so let's hope we can do that.

That is usually said about every GM of every NY team.

not when grunfeld was here

Grunfeld was only able to get Spree because he faced a possible criminal indictment, and although he did trade Oakley for Camby, the Knicks reportedly turned down Oakley for the rights to Kobe when he was drafted.

But, he was never able to acquire a complimentary player for Ewing while he was still in his prime probably because other GMs wanted to fleece him.

like we have a choice?

only tradeable commodities for talent are curry, lee, and frye (although his stock is dwindling). jamal and quentin may...may be able to get you a shorter contract back but nothing of note talent wise.

isiah spent alot of money to get this youth. and a byproduct is a bunch of unsavory contracts. so we are kind of stuck in terms of making moves. these are the guys he's married to. and it doesn't look like he may be too happy about it if the rumors are true of him practically shipping out 2-3 core components.

I think thats very telling. The fact that Isiah is rumored to be dealing core players makes you really wonder what he thinks of this roster.

We have two core players: Curry and Lee. Everyone else is expendable.

I love Lee but there shouldn't be one player on this team who isn't expendable.

I said expendable, not untouchable.

Remember when we were told that Brown was guilty of sabotaging the team just by virtue of having them play half-court ball?

What has Isiah accomplished this season with this roster outside of winning more than 23 games ???

Time to seal the deal on zeke and go in a different direction.

Hire Mark Ivaroni as coach buy out the players that need to be and lets move on.

B/c Isiah is an incompetent GM, plain and simple.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.
