Isiah needs to see that Balkman and Collins can help this team with their defense and energy. I haven't understood why he hasn't used them more. The entire reason for bringing them in was to get improve the teams defense and they certainly have shown that they can do that. Both can play in this league. Francis is just not what we need at this point. It's not his fault, but Isiah needs to be able to go to Collins and Balkman more freely. I have nothing against Francis, but we get more out of Balkman and Collins cuz they can help us where we need help most. Francis is erratic and can't defend.

Collins has done well everytime he's put in there. I think he's been held back by Isiah this year. I understand the issue with having a former All Star and getting some use out of him, but really the team doesn't really need what he brings as much as what Collins can bring. We all know what Balkman brings and I want to see more of it.

mardy renaldo and lee are going to have so much fun this summer working on their jump shots together

play these guys! IT is playing the vets to win more games now. i'm not convinced it's even working... renaldo should start instead of jerome james. i'd play mardy and nate over francis no question.

YUP! Cuz that's all they need. i mean it's not a fluke that EVERY SINGLE TIME, we bring these guys in they make something happen. For the most part they look like they can play in this league to me. Sure they aren't the best shooters, but DAMN do they hustle and give you everything they've got!

I mean is it just me or do these guys provide the effort that we are always missing?

Balkman plays hard and so does Mardy, theres no doubt about that and I'll root real hard for them when they are on the floor because they bust their butts. The problem is, how good are these guys? They both seem to do CERTAIN things well but we can't be building and hoping on players that are nothing more than middle-to-end of the rotation guys.

Signing Jared was a big mistake. Huge. He is living up to the retard tag I have him before isiah signed him.

Trading for francis is an even bigger mistake.

Kudos for drafting balkman and Collins though, but he sealed their fate with the players playing ahead.

Would isiah straight up bench Jared and francis? Hell to the no.

Balkman needs to play, period. Collins still can pay his dues, but I think next year it will be hard to keep him out of the mix.

good thread. Balkman needs more playing time. He is proven himself to be starter worthy and he better than Jeffries.

I don't know about the Pistons but I'd hate to face a team that doesn't show up half the time.
