would u guys do a package of something like lee, frye, nate, bulls 1st rnder, james, rose/jeffries to reunite KG with steph....

that would bring a big 3 of KG, Curry, Crawford, with marbary and francis

another midlvl exception in offseason can make us the top team of the east...

i believe we are at most a mediocore team however, this can give us a nice couple runs in the following years
although this would probably disrupt our chemistry we are having CHAMPIONSHIP team.

imagine carter also opting out and taking a lower paycheck....

marbary,Q,Carter,KG,Curry

i know i might be dreaming but is there any chance we can gamble with Lee's value at its high

I'd do it for KG.

Lee stands a good chance of improving his game offensively and defensively. While his value is high, it may very well get higher. In a year or two, he may score between 15 and 20, play solid defense, while continuing to pull down 10+ boards, pass very well and play smart basketball.

You always lose when you trade players like Lee. Look what happened when Memphis traded Battier. They went downhill and Houston prospered. Lee is that kind of player.

Look I love Lee, too. But he is never going to avg 20. 15 maybe, but let's not get crazy.

No. I'd rather have 14 years of Lee than 2 or 3 of KG.

no way. garnett's a great one but he doesn't/can't carry a team. steph/kg would have been interesting to watch 10 years ago. it has disaster written all over it now for the 2 $20M "superstars."

If Lee ever gets injured , we will truly see how valuable he is to this franchise on the court and off of it (ticket sales).

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Yeah, I agree. Steph has clearly lost a step. Although, I think KG would be the perfect compliment to Currys game, we would still need an immediate upgrade in the backcourt.

If KG was 27, I would do it in a heart beat. KG can provide the rebounding, interior defense, passing, and consistent scoring that we lack at the PF position. However, at 30 years old, I question wehether it is worth giving up Lee and Frye, plus other players for 3-4 years of KG. I think we should keep Lee unless a team is going to give up a young big, like O'Neal or Gasol and even then, I would not trade both Lee and Frye. I would keep one and just add guys like Nate, Q, or maybe even Crawford to the deal.

that would be too much to give up for KG.

If the timberwolves trade KG, they are going to enter a rebuilding phase- and depending how much salary they take back, the deal is going to clear cap space for them in a huge way.

I don't know how salaries match up, but a deal like Francis, Frye & Filler or possibly Francis, Lee & Filler for KG & Filler should be enough and if its not, don't do the deal.

Too much to give!

A double-double kinda of guy is huge for any team. You build around a guy like Lee but he is not the focal point superstar.

Successful teams need Dlees. They are the backbone of success. The Rodmans, Ben Wallaces, Rick Fox, John Havlichek kind of guys are not the stars putting up gaudy scoring numbers, but are essecial.

This is where we grow our own good players and KEEP THEM!

Notice last nite Dlee got the ball on the perimeter about every posession. He is a very good passer also!

Im saying he is a superstar, but the kid does it all!

If he can just work on his lateral movement just a bit more would help.

He is developing very well. He is a keeper.

I don't think KG takes us over the top. And I think if we were heading in that direction we would have kept some expiring contracts but Dolan, being the tightwad of the family fortune, thrifty, very diciplined and methodical (can you smell the sarcasim yet?) castrated Isiah to prevent the temptation!

The goal this year was to make the playoffs!

I doubt we could surround KG with enough to win it all without really killing our future. None of our guards have the leadership skills to handle the stress of winning 4 playoff series in one season. Be nice to even win just one in fact!

Im not bashing anyone, but take the cumulative years of Marbury, Crawford, and Francis and the lack of playoff exposure, yet alone success is really a pathetic statistic.

His value is at an all time high- then again all time hasn't even been two full seasons. Point is there's still more to come from Lee. He's already one of the most efficient players in the league (2nd in True FG% to Steve Nash and 10.6 RPG). This guy is a pure positive any time he's on the floor because he creates possessions and he doesnt waste em.

i love the fact that you think Curry is garbage but also think we can reasonably get KG for him in a trade... either Curry's garbage like u think he is, or he's a very good young player that a team like MIN would consider trading us KG for... which is it?

DLee is as close to untouchable as you are going to get with Knicks in my opinion. Unless we are getting back Wade, LeBron or Kobe then I would have to say no.

OK OK...for those guys too...Superstars in their prime...hmmm...scratch Brand off that list. Also, Nash...How many years does Nash have?

Garbage is an exaggeration that I don't think anyone made, but there's plenty of options other than the two you're presenting: (a) Due to stat inflation from playing more min than he should and being the focus of the offense, maybe his perceived value is higher than his actual value. (b) Maybe his perceived value isn't even high around the league, but at least one GM can be suckered into a bad trade because that one GM thinks his value is high. Maybe some people think Mchale is one such GM.
