If these guys are still around after the deadline, they need to start playing on a regular basis. I'm sorry. We beat Orlando but as far as I'm concerned Francis and Jeffries COMPLETELY WASTED over 30 minutes of PT that should've went to these guys.

Isiah leads everyone to believe that Nate doesn't play all of a sudden now because of matchups. Yeah right. Sure. Who on the Magic doesn't he match up against exactly? Jameer Nelson? Carlos Arroyo? JJ Redick? Come on Zeke. Anyone one of those is a favorable matchup for Nate and the Knicks. With Francis doing absolutely nothing Nate needs to see more time. He's flat out playing better. He was the only one (along with Balkman ironically - I'll get to him in a minute), who showed up in that game out in Golden State with 23 points when the rest took the night off. Nate almost singlehandedly brought us back from about 30 down in that game. Then he goes off to All-Star weekend and has a nice showing in the dunk contest - Zeke was pleased and actually spoke very highly of Nate about how his dunk attempts were amazing for a guy his size - then he turns around and DNPs him tonight. WTF man? Bottom line he's playing much better ball than Francis who's looked lost right from that first game in Memphis. I don't want to hear about how he's been hurt or anything else. He's a shell of his former self, is playing like total **** and flat out does not deserve to be taking time away from a kid we should be developing. If Zeke thinks he's got a better shot at making the playoffs playing Francis over Robinson he couldn't be more wrong. And btw Zeke, we're not retards OK pal. Don't tell us stuff like you're not playing Nate because of matchups OK man? Such nonsense....

And as for Balkman let me start off with a question. I ask all of you, when was the last time Jared Jeffries had any kind of impact at all out on the court for our club. He brings absolutely NOTHING to the table. In fact, I've been a hardcore basketball fan, all my life and I can honestly say I think Jeffries is the most unremarkable player at that size that I've ever seen while watching basketball, college or pro. I mean, I take Charles Smith at his worst over this guy any day of the week. And to think by comparison, poor Balkman has an impact EVERY SINGLE TIME HE'S ON THE COURT. With Nate, he also played well in the GS loss and he also played superb in that loss at the Bucks.

Zeke, you better walk up and smell the coffee my friend. If you're really serious about getting to the playoffs my friend you'd better start playing these guys more.

You guys care about winning games on a consistent basis at all here or just being content with pulling one out the hat every once in a while? You all know my answer...

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I would play play Balkman over JJ2 and JJ1 for that matter. And Im not the biggest Francis fan, but he is doing fine right now. BUt I do believe Working in the explosiveness of Balkman and Nate would help the team more. JJ1 got 5 minutes and Jared got 10 minutes. JC and Marbury got 36 and 38 minutes when they should really be around 32. So that's another 10 minutes. So Nate and Balkman should being 25 minutes between the two of them on most nights.

Tonight I probably would not have played nate over JJ2 because we needed size, but Balkman should have played tonight too. I agree about working Nate and Balkm into the lineup.

I was vying for JJ2 pretty hard this summer, but I could kick myself in the ass now. After the brawl, I gained a hell of a lot of respect for him, but on the court, he's starting to nausiate me.
Why he's locking Balkman out of minutes is beyond me. We just need to trim down the roster and fit in the deserving guys...I can dream.

What am I talking about? What are you people blind? First of all, I said 30 minutes between Francis and Jeffries. But back to Francis' performance, he was God awful. He had 4 turnovers to only 3 assists put up only 2 shots himself and had no idea what the hell he was doing with the ball most of the time.

JohnWallace44....you've got to be kidding me pal. What game was I watching? The same one you were buddy. We were both on the game chat together. In fact here's a few remarks by the people that were on there with us just to refresh your memory:

NYK3: "HOLY **** GET FRANCIS OUT OF THE GAME PLEEEEEEASE."
VDesai: "Francis should never, ever close games. Keep him off the floor."
JrZyHuStLa: "his career is over.."
crzymdups: "I seriously doubt we're making the playoffs if Francis keeps playing. this is ugly."
JohnWallace44: "...Its getting closer to the 'same old Francis.'"

You remember saying that my man? WTF... Dude you watched that game. You knew he was terrible. He hit a long 2 and he set up a trailing Lee for that nice layup plus the foul. Big deal. Other than that, what the hell did he do out there besides look completely lost? He can go back to Houston or Hawaii or the north pole to go rehab indefinitely for all I give a ****. I want him off this team all-together or not playing at all. Period. Never wanted him in the first place. He's hurting us. We'd be better served playing Nate for the short-term and over the long run as well.

What the HELL are you saying? Francis God awful? Did you watch the game? I was there live. This guy was playmaking the whole game. We had a good flow when he was in there. He's playing more team ball now.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

I agree about Francis. He did not play great but to say he had no impact is an overstatement. Now I will agree that JJ2 did absolutely nothing and those minutes should be going to Balkman. IT is in a bad spot because Balkman is a rookie and JJ2 is signed for 4 more years. I think he is playing JJ2 for two reasons: 1) he does not want to look bad for signing the guy; and 2) he does not want to lose Jeffries by sitting him and having the veteran get discouraged by losing time to a rookie. Neither is a good reason IMO. Play Balkman and force Jeffries to step up his game. I still hold out hope that Jeffries can work over the summer and come back next year and contribute, but I still think Balkman is going to be a better player. This is one reason we should pull the Frye/Nate/Rose for Lewis trade. That trade would free up some time for Balkman.

I'm with you on the Balkman point. But as for Nate, send his ass to the D league.

I'm with anrst...Balkman should play but till special Nate shows discipline, I just can't trust him in the game. He looks for highlight moves rather than winning moves.

Thank you Bonn. Some people thought he played like Magic Johnson out there last night. I just don't get it...

For a guy just coming off injury, he was playing with reckless abandon. He forced the issue a lot but I like what I saw. I would rather see a player attack the basket than shooting 3's all day long. He did his job.

i didn't think he played badly... he made some good things happen on the floor... he wasn't awesome, but for a guy coming off knee tendinitis, he looked pretty good... he still has to stop leaving his feet before he knows what he wants to do w/the ball... he always turns the ball over when he does that.

Fran still looks rusty as hell.

Pissed me off when JJ2 had a nice offensive rebound which he was wide open for a quick putback, but he bought it back down and got swarmed on! Looked very awkward. Balkman would have slamed it back, or at least gone right back up!

JJ2 making Isiah look stupid.

As far as Nate, well, y'all know how "Special" he is to me!

If you think Francis had a good game last night, try watching the next Knicks game sober.
