Simple question. Given what you know about our New York Knicks and the strength or weakness of the Eastern Conference, do you believe the Knicks will make the playoffs this year?

No, but I do think they will be close and a hell of a lot closer than last year. Next to the league, it's a poor team, but compared to last years team, it's a much better team. Take your pick.
I'll never trust this' team again.

No they will not. Once this team gets a young all-around wing as well as a defensive stopper, this team will toil in mediocrity.

I'll never trust this' team again.

The problem with unknowns is, you have no idea who will help us, who will blossom. It's easy to know with a true superstar will do, but the unknowns, that's a tough one.
I'll never trust this' team again.

I said no, but this could be one of those years (like the last time we made it) when a bunch of lousy teams get in (Boston's 37 wins).

I think based on what he's spent and how many moves he's made anything less than .500 after 3 years spells complete and utter failure.

I'd say no. But it's still possible. Last night's win helps. We're currently a game behind the Nets and 3 games behind Orlando (and Miami). The Nets might trade Carter and Kidd for the future. Orlando isn't playing well right now.

I said, no, because the Knicks haven't been able to put together a string of wins this year and it's detrimental to my health to think they will. But if they take care of their .500 business, I don't think a worse team will catch them and the Nets and Magic could fall.

Really the next 6-7 games will determine it because this is proably our easiest schedule and we play many of the teams we are trying to beat for the last spot. The win last night was huge. I hope the team makes it, but I think we might fall 1-2 games short because of the bad start at the beginning of the year.

I said yes. Of course none of us really knows, but I think the Knicks will squeek by to get the 8th seed, then lose in the first round.

Saying no will be popular, but to be honest, it's VERY much a possibility. This team is certainly capable of winning at a high enough clip the rest of the way and it looks like Orlando may have trouble with their schedule. OF course there's no guarantee, but i'm fairly confident that this team can do it. The next few games we and Orlando have will be very important. They have to face Det. twice, Hou, Chi, Den, SA and Dal. Now you have to think that they're gonna lose some of those games, unless they make a SHARP turn around from the way they've been playing. Meanwhile what NY has to do is just take care of business. Stop taking teams lightly and go in and rip their hearts out. Don't mess around with Philly, just smash them and keep moving. Mil will be tougher now that Redd is back. NJ who knows what they'll be by then? Miami is tougher now that Shaq is back, but we have to win that one at home. Bos has been tougher since Pierce has been back, but we have a good chance in that one too. This schedule has some tricky games in it, cuz the teams aren't as weak as they once were, but we can still take advantage of Orl having such a rough road, with just a few good wins.
