if the knicks want to make the playoffs, this is the time to make a run. 7-2 should be the record in the next 9 games. preferably 8-1.

8-1 over the next 9 will put them at .500 (31-31).

I'm down.

If they can't beat these scrubs (Excluding Miami) they don't deserve to contend for the playoffs.

We *should* go 7-2 but you know we're not. We haven't shown evidence of being able to put together this kind of streak. I do think 7-2 is possible on paper, but 5-4 is more realistic, while still being optimistic.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

They'll go .500 at best barring no major trades going down.

They'll lose the Philly game. If Milwaukee gets Redd back they'll lose that game. They may beat NJ. They'll lose to Miami and Boston now that they are back to full strength. GS is a trap/toss up game and they'll probably lose to ATL since they'd be in a funk. They'll beat Seattle

So I have them possiby winning

sounds like a challenge- would take a few big wins with no letdown games. but at some point we'll have to string together a real run of good games. win one, lose one may be good enough to save IT's job but not if we want to make the playoffs.

You know so well that all the Knicks, especially Isiah, will be beating their chests red with boosted egos if 5-4 happens.

i was looking at the rest of the year. if we have any hopes of playoffs, we have to go AT LEAST 18-11. I agree with DJ, these are teams we have to beat. 7-2 is the goal. Anything less is indicative that this team is not ready to take that next step.

Sorry to bust your bubbles guys, but I know this team like the back of my hand. They will NOT go 7-2.

More than 23 wins guarantees a return for ZAYU. Besides ZAYU has already succeeded in sweet talking Dolan through the media this yr. He has his full backing now.

You guys are either extreme optimists (8-1 ????? lol)

or

you are such haters that when they don't go 7-2, 8-1 you'll get up and say how bad the team is.

i think isiah's coming back anyway. And while I don't discount the playoffs, I think it's pretty unrealistic to think that this year's team will get there. Not only would we have to play above our level, but someone will have to fall out. Orlando's the only one who may continue to hover around .500. And that's assuming the Nets won't make a run either.

My guess is the team goes 5-4 in the next 9.

c'mon kam, i'm ALWAYS gonna say how bad this team is :)

but if this is really a team that's growing and wants to show US that they are a decent team, then this is a stretch they need to take advantage of.

I agree. This teams needs to take advantage of the easy games but 7 & 2 over the next 9 is expecting too much of this team. I think 5 & 4 is more like it. They need to stop having let downs though. I know its a young team and all but they have to bring the effort every night. Its time to get a little critical.

I'd be happy with 6-3, but my gut says 5-4.

orl, mil, mia, gs, and sea at home
we should only lose one of those games (miami)

phi, nj, bos, and atl on the road
we should only lose one of those games (nj - barring any trade of kidd/vince)

losing to any other team either on the road or at home should be considered a BAD loss. phi, bos and atl are terrible teams that are looking at their draft spot.

orl and mil are fighting for the last spot with us - we have the home court.
gs whooped us up so we should be playing for revenge.
and seattle is terrible.

5-4 would be TERRIBLE for this stretch of games. how can one be optimistic about that?
knicks should go 7-2 in next 9
