Frye, Nate, Balkman, Jefferies, M. Rose


We get a star player in Lewis, a young shot blocker in Sene, a good back-up point guard in Watson, and a perimeter defender in Wilkins.

Although Jefferies has 4 yrs left on deal we take back Watson & Wilkins who have 3 years left each.


Knick line-up:

Pg: Marbury, Watson
Sg: Q-Rich, Crawford
Sf: Lewis, Wilkins
Pf: Lee, Sene
C: Curry

I'd do it. What happens to Francis though? In all of these trade proposals, people have Francis falling off the face of the planet, but he has 2 more years after this season, just like Marbury.

Because as many of you guys feel that the Knicks young talent is overrated. Many in Seattle have already concluded that the Sonics talent is vastly overrated.

Seattle may lose Lewis for nothing cause he can opt out. With Frye and Nate - especially Nate - they get something in return. If you include JCraw, he would be another Seattle native draw. I think Rose and JJ are just salary throw-ins. Rose only has 2 years or something and that's not too hard to swallow.

4 teams have $10+ mil in cap room this summer:

mil, orl, cha, and atl

mil has big $$$ tied up in redd and they gave simmons a big deal also
orl and cha are going after vince
atl has a ton of swing men

so if rashard opts out, he runs the risk of not getting the contract he wants long term. he would have to work out a sign and trade, something seattle does not have to oblige him with. bibby has changed his mind and decided not to opt out b/c of the market. i don't think lewis opts out unless there's a deal in place this summer.

I agree about Rashard, a trade of Frye/Nate/Rose for Rashard is plenty fair. Why would the Sonics throw in Sene, Earl Watson and Wilkens?

I think Seattle would love Lewis to opt out- frees up cap.

The only deal that really makes sense is for them to trade Ray Allen- in spite of what their GM said.

Lewis will opt out because he's 27 and could good 2 more big contracts. He's got new agents so therefore he's ready to do it.

Seattle could re-sign him, trade him, or lose him for nothing.

Francis will get cut or traded for a guy like Raef Lafrenz.

I think this is a great trade for both teams.
