We should be thinking about long term deals in getting guys like Carmelo, Wade, LeBron, Dirk, players like these and build a solid defensive team around them. We certainly have the money to do it with, if we can just wait and let certain contracts end and have some money to offer these players as they're contracts end.

We could of had players like Kobe, Duncan, Webber, Iverson and many other stars a few years or more ago, if the money and management was handled right!

Why are we hearing deals like Lewis or some other low life player who isn't any better than what we have already? We're going to make a deal for bums to sign them to long term contracts again, so we can suffer more miserable seasons? I don't think so! We need to think really big and long term here. We need to stop coming up with all of these scenarios that aren't going to get us anywhere. I'd like to see you guys start thinking of ways to bring superstars to New York. Forget this small time stuff!
I'll never trust this' team again.

Do you always believe everything you read in the papers?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

You know Bob, really' why do you think it's impossible? Everyone else makes major deals for major players. Iverson, Shaq, Webber and so on and so on. Why do we keep our money tied up in bums? Why do you sound like it's impossible to go get what we need and want for our Knicks? And no' I didn't get any idea from newspapers. It's a no brainer. I'm sitting here always asking the question why not?
I'll never trust this' team again.

Why not just keep you draft picks and draft them ourselves?

Or

Trade for picks?

or

Have movable parts for sign and trades?

I think we are moving in a better direction talent wise, but the sum does not equate to wins. Its getting better, that I can see.

I don't blame Dolan for tieing Isiahs hands for expiring contracts. We really can't keep this level of salary. Sure the Francis thing was a disasaster and someones head had to roll. Funny that it was the grumpy HOF coach instead of the man in charge, but thats a subject beaten to death many times.

I think for this to happen, yes' Zeke would eventually have to go. One more bad signing is just going to push us over the edge, so I agree in gettting a new GM. I'm sick of what chicago is doing, making good, sensible moves and now it's paying off big time. I know we're a litle better than last year, but I can also see that what we see so far is about as good as it's going to get. Expiring contracts and in the last year of contracts is going to be key in what we get next. I just think we can line it up to get a couple of big stars in New York. Even if it takes two years to do it. I really don't know what it is that Zeke is doing right now. No one seems to know. Unless this team starts winning 2 of every 3 for the rest of the season, it's time to start thinking about the near future and making those decisions now, even if it means letting Zeke and a few of our young guys go, to make those things happen. I'll be pissed if he makes another bad signing, I will admit that. A lot of us thought the pieces we got, were going to pan out, but Brown, Marbury, Francis, Jerome, Rose, and I think even Nate and Frye are bust's! Curry still needs a lot of work and of all of Zeke's purchases, it looks like only Lee, Crawford, Balkman and maybe Q show any promise. I'm conceeding that the experiment has failed, or better yet, needs a new leadership to take us further. I think it is time for someone else to come in take us to the next level, cause I don't see Zeke doing anything that's really convincing right now. I think Zeke handcuffed himself, painted himself into a corner, so he seems to be limited now and forced to make due with what he has created. But on the other hand, I still beleive he was forced to make decisions that were to quick. The fans, the media wanting things to happen tomarrow, just didn't work out.

I am talking about making plans for the near future. I don't think we need anymore quick fixes, anymore band-aids for this roster. It only seems to turn disasterous when we try. Time to be patient and plan now for those move in a few years.
I'll never trust this' team again.

Well, if you remember, chicago gets to trade picks with us if they want to, in the next draft. But the trading for drafts picks would be a better suite, only if they are high draft picks. Otherwise we are just playing peanuts again.
