Side story would be Lee and his double double would be in Chicago playing on a team that needs a power fwd.

So the Bulls drafted tyrus. Gay was out there, Morrison, etc.

Let's say isiah drafted tyrus Thomas. With the way Frye has played this year, I bet tyrus would be the starter right now! Even if it was alderige!

Speak on it!

it could've been anyone except bargnani.

i think it's 50/50 that he trades it or keeps it.

and if he kept it, it's between tyrus (most likely) and gay (we needed a SF)

Gay.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

If isiah went with Gay, then that means rose is the primary backup 4.

Again with my favorite player channing "I earned that spot" frye playing like an amaechi, how screwed would the knicks be?

At the time of the draft last year? I probably would've drafted Adam Morrison.

Brandon Roy. But Tyrus Thomas would've been tempting.

Gay.
We'd have to follow that up by signing Tim Hardaway for the veteran's min

IF we still had the pick - many things could've been different. maybe there wasn't as much pressure on lb and isiah last year b/c there was no pick being lost? maybe lb is back? maybe lb still gets fired but isiah still can use expirings to make deals? that lack of protection on the pick played a considerable part in last year and it's perception.

The pick played a role but when you have a huge payroll and finish with the 2nd worst record, it's gonna be perceived as a disaster no matter what the circumstances are, especially you had just hired a hall-of-fame coach and given up four draft picks for your new franchise center.

Geez DJ.

I'm just talkin about the bulls pick, All the LB stuff aside.

If Gay was picked or folye/Roy, it probably changes how the knicks would draft at 20 and 29.

Anyway, I just want to continue to cruxify Frye. Isiah would have had to take a big man. I'm thinkin that Alexander Hamilton guy(Memphis ended up drafting him in the second round I believe). That dude would probably be starting right now! Frye is such a lame.

Bringing to my point. Frye needs to be traded! If isiah believes that Jerome James is a better option, lol, then trade frye for someones 1st round pick! Top 3 protected probably, but that is good enough for me.

Bottom line, frye probably couldn't be traded for anybody playing at the NBA rookie/soph game. Not even some of the honorable mention.

The guy I wanted is the guy that went with that pick - Aldridge.

haha - the point was that isiah would've been able to make moves (probably) and we probably would've traded for a PF if we didn't have david here.

The way Frye played last year, there was no reason to believe he wouldn't come into this season ready to take the next step. With that said, Gay would/should have been the pick. You could tell while he played at Uconn that he would be a pretty good rebounder at Sf in the NBA and would be able to block some shots ( similar to G Wallace).

yup, 100% agree... people were gushing about Ty Thomas like he was a guaranteed stud can't miss type prospect at the time... i have a hard time believing people would have advocated passing him up in the draft if the Knicks had kept the pick... i know a few of you liked Morrison too, but after the NCAA tourney, A LOT of you fell in love w/TT.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.
