Sometimes I view him as soft or a bit of a hog--but I think he would fit well here. Who are we getting in the next 3 years better than VC? We have the big man Frye young prospect Collins picks--I am not endorsing this but it's a thought

Let me see
Frye 2.3mm
Cato 1.1mm
Collins 900K
M rose 6.5mm
Nate Robinson 1mm
2007 1 pick
for Carter and Boone

That would put us at
C-Curry
F Lee
F Q-Rich
G Carter
G Crawford
Boone
Jefferies
Balkman
Francis
Marbury

I don't think that's enough for Vince Carter. If it is, we will be outbid by another team for sure.

I think that is way more than the nets will get for him, given all the talk that he will opt out and go to orlando.

If you deal for Carter, your renting him for the remainder of the year.

For Miami, that deal might make sense.

franco has it. We've got to have concrete assurance that he'll stay before we do any deal for Carter.

NJ and NY as of now, will not be doing business together..

They can keep that bum Carter, we don't need him!

Also , just as Franco12 called it, you'll be renting him for the remainder of the yr.

I'd do it as long as it was a resigned VC. Otherwise we just give up Frye and our pick, NR for essentially nothing.

I'd also do a Craw/Frye thing if we could keep our pick and Nate.

If it's just a rental, I don't want to trade anyone but maybe Malik Rose, Collins, dudes like that. Otherwaise what is the point of getting him for 30 games?

concrete evidence is that the knicks dish out money to keep players in orange and blue.

Successful Scenario
Due to New York and New Jersey being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. New York and New Jersey had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Trade ID
Every trade made by fans is allocated a unique Trade ID which you can share with friends and fellow basketball fans to allow them to see your trade scenario. The Trade ID for this scenario is 3687203.

VC is going to Orlando for Darko and a first rounder plus filling.
