If the season ended today, NY gets the 10th pick, and Chicago gets the 19th pick.
While I have lambasted IT for not protecting this pick, it looks like it may
not be as bad as it could have otherwise been. At least it looks like we won't be
giving up another top 5 pick.
On the other hand, I'm still sore about giving up the number two last year.

As it stands now:
Sweetney
Tim Thomas
2006 #2 pick
2007 #10 pick

for
Curry
AD
2007 #19 pick

Thoughts?

Basically, we traded the #2 pick for Curry. The diff between 10 and 19 when it comes to Zeke's drafting skills are pretty non-existant.

Well, this assumes that we don't win the lottery. Hopefully, that will not happen, but knowing IT's luck with trades, our pick might turn into a top-3 selection, which would be bad to say the least.

You also need to take into account that this is the deepest draft in years, and it was noted by scouts that they would take 7 players in this draft ahead of last years number one. And there is also a very realistic chance a team like the Bucks will win more games than the knicks

And the season isn't over so you have to be a little nervous

Knicks 23 wins
Portalnd 22 wins (Zach and rookies and they have 1 less win)
Sac 22 wins
Atlanta 21
Seattle 20 wins

So you are really looking at a 6-11 pick and also a chance as twinning the lottery. I don't thinking the Knicks have a chance to really make the playoffs after what i saw last night. Here is the real question if the Knicks get a pick in the 1-3 range, should Isiah be fired. I think the answer should be yes

You left out two early 2nd rd picks in addition to the #2 and #10 picks. I'd rather have 4 chances to get solid, versatile 2 way players than have Eddy.

I wouldn't count the 2nd rounders as very solid chances to get 2-way players. So far I think it's a wash. It all dpeends on how Eddy develops other areas of his game and what TT becomes.

Rightttttt. What if there's a great player that would be available at #10 that Zeke likes, but another team takes him between 10 and 18? Please cut the BS. He may get a good player at 19, but he'd likely get a BETTER player at 10. Unless you ONLY have confidence in him making good mid-to-late picks?

I love when the truth is stretched, ripped-apart and abused for the sake of protecting an arrogant snake.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

If it was me I would rather be building around:
C Frye
PF Lee
SF Rudy Gay
with a lottery pick coming in this draft than be hoping next year is the year I can 'coach' Eddy to jump for rebounds or raise his hands on defense.

The Knicks need every chance possible to get a star or at least another core starter.

The Curry trade set the franchise back further than you can imagine just like every one of his moves.....

He should have just gambled on Bynum or taken Granger last year, Frankly i would rather have Foye or Roy and this years pick than Eddy Curry, because in case you haven't noticed Jamal is killing us on defense and can't guard anyone, so we don't have one guard for the future other than Nate

yea... I wasnt even going to go there, but yea... Bynum, MArcus Williams, Lee, Rudy Gay and Nate and I would have been more than happy to sit on that starting 5 and give ISiah a 2 year extension to solidify that roster.

Wins no longer matter.. its all about Eddy's scoring.
