we had worse record than we have now--very similar scenario--I think we were like 9-10 games under .500 with 30 to go--they went on a big +10 run to pull a game or two above .500 faltered slightly towards the end--but still made the playoffs[losing 0-3]

the bottom line is a team that is GOOD enough to make a playoff SHOULD make the playoffs and should be ABLE to put together atleast ONE sustained period of good play over mulitple games--if you cant you are NOT a good team--I cant imagine that if we win 34 games that we bring every piece back including reliance upon marbury---but I think thats what will happen.

I see us more like the 2003 team, who Chaney had playing hard trying to catch the 8th spot, but we just weren't good enough and fell short with 37 wins.

Isiah has to button down his line up and stick with it. Playing 11 guys in the first half is not gonna get the job done. This is "Larry Syndrum" where he is trying to wrangle some kind of trade, manage the egos, get some value for the 125mil he is blowing, and try to win games.

Last nite was not about the win, it was about somthing else.

I think Isiah will start Lee after the all star break. It's what this team needs at this point, his consistency on the boards, 13 or so points a game lately and his all round hustle. For that matter, Balkman also fits the bill. I think next year they will be an ABSOLUTE terror when playing together, regardless of where Balkman plays. You get active players out there and it sucks for the opponents. Curry could have two great rebounders in the vicinity and get aggressive, you got to cover them. They are active rebounders and are almost always trying to get into position. Just need a reliable shooter and for Crawford to start driving consistently... and stay healthy.

I agree with you on some alterations--leave D lee in for 35+ minutes--give balkman time--why is this time going to JJ and malik? i think it's possible there is a small market for malik but wed just take junk back

Knicks lack energy. Its not everyone cause I'd say maybe 3 out of 5 players that are out there are playing hard. There is always 2-3 guys just dogging it. Then all of a sudden they wake up after being down by 20.

The knicks need a shake up. Of all the times that isiah shook up the team for no reason this is the time to shake it up. As long as he doesn't trade curry, Lee and balkman.

Try going to work after partying the night before, don't you slack off a lil from work?

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

We can go back to last year. Good things happened when the young guys came in. Not sure if we are trying to get rid of some players, but the way I see it, we need to try to get rid of Malik and Jefferies. We need playing time for Balkman and Nate. It's hard to work them all in there.

I don't want to take junk back for Malik unless we can get a pick out of it. What's another few million for a "bought" pick done in this way? There might be some good shooting guards available in the draft, With Isiahs eye I'm almost excited to be shocked again... I have no real idea on Francis, he can be a good back up for the rest of the year. Bring Mardy in next year.

If I partied like I wanted to the night before work, I would put thousands of peoples lives in danger. Aside from that if I someone suspected I was smashed or hung over I would be pissin in a cup. If anything comes up I would be out of a job and in a rehab. Depending how it goes I may or may not get my job back.

These NBA guys play basketball right? Those guys make more in one game that they might not even play in, than i would make in a year. Maybe a couple years with some of them.

You probably were joking around but just in case you weren't....
