If you're not registered the link is worthless. Here's what it said in summation

For the first time in five years, the Hawks will be represented in the NBA All-Star Game.

Captain Joe Johnson was named Wednesday as an injury replacement to the Eastern Conference squad. He'll take the place of New Jersey Nets guard Jason Kidd, who will sit out Sunday's showcase in Las Vegas with a bad back.

Joe Johnson's far better than Curry even at the one and only thing Curry's good at (scoring). This shouldn't be surprising. I don't think Eddy was even close to being selected as an all-star.

with the highest payroll in the league been the 10th best team in the conference doesn't make much of a difference....

If they would like to do a frye, crawford, nate and a first round pick for joe johnson i would sign away, he would be perfect for the team

Curry only plays on one end of the floor, and even that, he only does one thing out of like eight great, one passable and the rest are certainly not passable. There are 20 other players that didn't make it that were better candidates than Curry, David Lee included.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Have you seen Joe Johnson play defense, I really havent. I thought it was pretty much a tossup between both but whatever, I dont really care that much about all-star selections, in the grand scheme it doesnt mean anything.

Throwing out their scoring their last 9-10 gm stats.

EY Curry in his last 359min of play he has 54reb the span of 10gms. That's a 6.6reb avg. He has 4blks, 1stl, 9ast in that same span. Team record in that span 5-5

Joe Johnson in his last 381min of play he has 45reb the span of 9gms. That's a 5reb avg. He has 2blks, 3stls, 47ast in that same span. Team record 5-4. They both appear to be shotty defenders but Joe rebounds almost as well as Curry during this span.

Since Joe is outscoring Curry by a considerable margin although FGA aren't exactly fair when comparing the 2 and he shoots 39% from the arc, you have to go with Joe.

You misread, he was showing their recent stats. Those were the stats he showed. Would you rather compare season stats? Either way Curry gets creamed. This is no contest. Like I said, 20 other players in the east were more deserving than a fat center who doesn't play defense so he doesn't risk fouling out. Sorry.

why not include the Hawks last ten games? because the Hawks lost that tenth game, Joe Johnson had a bad game and it weakens your argument?

I'm not arguing against Joe Johnson, he's had a fine season, but to make it look like he's a clear cut choice over Curry by trying to skew the stats is a little sad.

also, if Curry took as many shots as Joe Johnson did and didn't take any more free throws, he'd be averaging 29ppg. so, yeah, Joe Johnson shoots a lot, but Curry is more efficient.

And I think Curry should go only if Shaq pulls out, because they have enough Centers with Shaq going. Why these bums see Joe Johnson replacing kidd as an opening to attack Curry is past my understanding. Maybe if I was a Nets or Raptors fan I would understand better.

Because I was trying to keep the minutes as even as possible. LOL all that means Joe gets more inflated stats while equaling Curry's Team record. Do you think before you type or are you programmed to defend in honor of Curry?

yeah, I'm programmed to defend the honor of Curry. the minutes weren't even anyway. Johnson plays far more minutes than Curry and has a far lower rebounding rate. he gets more assists, but he touches the ball on almost every Hawks possession and that's his role - to be a playmaker. they have different roles, they're different players.

Johnson's selection is more about the East needing another playmaker to replace Kidd than Johnson > Curry.
