15th isn't great but damn. Hollinger is usually harsh on the Knicks so they must be doing something right.

I think it's an automated rating system, so he doesn't really have control over it.

its great to be on the first page again! If that doesn't show 'evident progress' I don't know what does.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Is the party at my place or yours? This is way better than an NBA championship. Thanks, Isiah!
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

How many times do we have to tell you guys that you have to start somewhere? We came into the year with no base and Isiah had to establish that during this season. He's done that and now they're growing from there. They've become a reflection of their coach. TOUGH and RESILIENT. In time they'll be more than that, but you guys don't know how to deal with a young developing team. You're position is TOTALLY unrealistic. How do you go from 23-59 to NBA championship? Is there no inbetween? No innocent climb to at least 1st reach the playoffs? You guys just don't get it and you're missing out on the joy of this season. Watching this team come together. I feel sorry for you

Just for now can't you enjoy watching your team again and leave the NBA Title talk alone for a while? By the way I think Hollinger has the Knicks at 22 up from 24.

Nope. I don't enjoy this team. I root for them... but I don't enjoy them. Sorry.

As for starting somewhere, I agree. When we start somewhere, please let me know. So far we're a team struggling to get to .500 with players who will never take us to the big show. How is that different from three years ago?

Man you are TRULY JADED! How can you be a fan and say that you don't enjoy watching this team? Have you somehow missed the last 4 games? Not only competitive but it's been against the West. You have to remember that part of this team being 6 games under had to do with the poor start.

6-11 in Nov.
7-9 in Dec.
7-8 In jan.
3-1 in Feb.

You don't know that this team won't reach .500 or that the players on this team won't take us anywhere in the future. This is a start, since it's more likely that we'll have a better record next year after establishing a base this year. That was the purpose of this season. What were you expecting? We came into the year with nothing established. No base to work from. Now we have that and can move forward.

By the way I see that I was looking at an old ranking list and the Knicks are in fact at 15 today.

I thought Hollinger was a hater and you couldn't take anything he said seriously.

Or is that just a selective thing when it comes to the media?

Just as I said. As far as I'm concerned, the Knicks have been VERY hard to watch for three years now. That trend pretty much started once Isiah dipped his hands into things. Congratulations if you like them, I don't. We have a group of players who I absolutely can't stand to watch (Frye, Nate, Mebury, Jeffries -- Francis, Curry, Snacks as honorable mentions), and a mismoshed group of players who don't compliment each other. That's how you make a team? The purpose of the current squad is to make Dolan a few extra $$ off ignorant fans (no offense) who accept a piece of liver as a substitute for filet mignon. Until this team makes a change in regime, and puts out a solid core of complimentary PROFESSIONAL players who have one common goal in mind -- an NBA championship -- there really isn't much to say. We could've had those players; we chose not to, repeatedly. Maybe I could start enjoying the team again if Isiah was fired and a GM without such tunnel vision could actually take charge. Until that time, I'm thoroughly disappointed.

FYI, the Knicks are where I expected them to be this season. Their record has nothing to do with my disappointment. The fact that Isiah still has a job, Marbury is still a Knick and Dolan is still running the team does, however.

Watch the KNicks without judgemnet and you will see that they are going in the right direction. Watch them with the hate you have that has been building over three years and you will not enjoy the ride of watching a team come together and find its way.

The Knicks over the last three years were nothing but an unplanted seed. Isiah has taken the team over and decided to plant the seed and water it, it has started to grow whether it grows to be a championship team one can not say but watch them grow, you may miss the beautiful flowers that might bloom along the way.
Just as Ewing never won a championship but he gave the NYK fans memories that will always be great and positive.

Solace watch the Knicks without hate for any player or their GM/coach and you'll enjoy them. They have become fun to watch.

The "start" was three years ago for Isiah and I think about seven years ago for Dolan. And we've now made it to almost average! Awesome.

Apparently progress is only in relation to the worst that particular individual has done. In other words, if I take two steps back and then two steps forward, I've now made progress, since the most recent step is two steps forward. I hope my boss buys the same logic, ... I'd never have to do any work again, just keep saying "I broke it", "I fixed it".

Isiah should just hire Larry Brown to coach every other year so that the next year will always look like "evident progress"

Real credibility builder there, the Knick only got bad when Thomas arrived nice.

Two steps back and then two steps forward??? Do you truly believe we are equal to the team with Shandon Anderson, Clearance Wetherspoon, Howard Eisley and the boys?

I am with NixLuva and Vmart. This team is coming together. Did you see the team go nuts for Francis when he made that 3 right after Evans did. This is for a guy who has been away from the team. This team likes eachother and they root for eachother. The page has turned in my eyes. No they are not Championship caliber but at least now, you can consider getting a piece or two to see what can happen. The core is Curry, Lee, Q, Craw, Frye and Marbury. Balkman and Francis are keys too but not core yet.

Isiah is no savior from last year. He put that team together and gave it to the wrong dude who called him out on everything.

This team is far from being a "wonderful group of young men coming of age to form a bond that will last a lifetime".

That is crap. This is team divided. On part is young and growing and the other is bloated and decaying slowly.

This is not the team that will compete.

Yeah its getting better and thats ok, but lets not make this some sappy movie script.

"Tough and resiliant" is not this team and not Isiah. Maybe Isiah the player, but Isiah the Exec is "chewy and slimy"!

I'll take the progress and root hard for the team! But not much more.
