Thomas said he would campaign for Curry and then suggested that he also should be considered for the U.S. national team

what do you think about this? do you think that curry has the right game for international games? well, he would establish a good low post presence. however, they zone a lot and could render curry useless especially if he doesn't rebound and defend. timn duncan struggled in the post with international rules so curry could to. but he is strong and quick and might flourish against the other bigs. i would love to see him go toe to toe with his "clone" in greece though (forgot his name but he was good during the olympics).

Ugh, terrible idea. The US needs a more versatile big man for international play.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I agree. Curry is not a good enough passer to play international ball.

Gus Johnson even said he shouldn't be an all star this season. Why would he be a candidate for Team U.S.A?

It's not a terrible idea. Team USA did not have a post presence this summer, although its not necessarily the reason they lost. But in a close game, it would be to team USA's adavntage to have one guy who could get them a basket in the paint without having to face up and go one on one from the perimeter.

Team USA is a lost cause. It goes back to my rant about the league not having any true ball players that truly know how to play the game of basketball. USA basketball will almost always have more talent but we already know how far that will take you.

If he's not posting up and getting the ball every time down the floor, Curry is totally useless. He doesn't pass, he doesn't defend, he doesn't rebound and he doesn't block shots.

What value does he add to the team?

Lee would actually be a very good fit for that style.

I would be happy if Curry made it. Hopefully it helps him get in shape and he might actually learn something from that situation

Is it really worth hurting the country's chances to win just to get Eddy in shape?

Curry wouldn't work out for team USA. They have quick mobile big men in international play that shoot well from the floor. It'd be like 5-4 every time on D.

I think Lee Nailon would have the same impact as curry if we made him the focal point of the offense

lets bring latrell sprewell back for the US team. That way if we lose he can start choking the s&*t on the international players.

Team USA is the one team that can cover for all his shortcommings. Howard is a good shot-blokcer, Joe Johnson can knock down shots, Wade and Lebron are good passers and can get him easy baskets. All Curry needs to do is provide a consistant low post threat whenever the game may slow down. He can give them a good 15 mins.

If Curry is playing, we better ask for an "Eddy Curry clause" that will allow us to play an extra player on the court when Curry is on, since Curry can't be bothered with playing defense, we should be allowed to put an extra player in to do so.

I'm sorry, but anyone who says Webber is worse on defense is insane. At least Webber TRIES.
