in a laugher. he was 4-14 3 TOs 1 steal, 4 rebounds.

I am only posting this because if he had a big game we would all have to hear about it for weeks.
Well he didn't, his defense is on par with Jamal Crawfords, it sucks. Just my 2 cets.

no RJ and no Kidd and your POINT is ?

Who else were the spurs supposed to key on but the rookie who had 10 assist.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

If Mardy Collins had a 9/10/4 game against the Spurs, when he only had 1 legit scoring option to work with, some people here would be calling him the next coming and talking about how bright the future is yada yada yada.

Just my 2 cents.

Uh, Mardy Collins is a nobody, you and others here say MW is the next Magic Johnson, he put those numbers up in a game that was meaningless 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter. it is objectively nothing to get excited about.

I don't remember seeing anybody who said that it was.

But his performance tonight certainly doesn't diminish the fact that MW is a potential above average starting PG in this league.

I agree with everyone in that: 1) people hype williams too much on this board for what seems like the sole purpose of taking jabs at IT; and 2) Williams looks like a solid PG who should be able to lead a team in the future (as long as he plays with some shot-blockers to hid his defense). I however am really happy with Balkman and hope he can become our starting SF in the future. With him and Lee, we will lead the league in rebounds for the next decade. Both of those guys go after every rebound and Balkman is the defensive, shot-blocking presence we need next to Lee and Curry. Hopefully, he can develop a jumpshot this summer.

I think the point was that it wasn't as bad a game as you make it out to be.

Picking on a rookie PG on a night he nearly got a double-double shows that killa is a rookie hater.

LOL, this is really a no win, so I don't know DJ made that other thread about Williams starting if the two choices were going to be:
He's only a rookie in a bad game(Spurs were up like thirty from the middle of the second quarter)
or
He puts up numbers in a blow out andisthe next John stockton.....

First career start running show and nearly had a double-double. Hardly a reason to pick on him.

I'm not picking on him, I am just really stating the facts. He played ok, not bad not great, but Ok, 10 assists is good for a rookie, even in a laugher.

I'm just starting some trouble.

That's not your game Killa. Leave it to the professionals.

His defense is on par with Jamal Crawford? Why you dissing Crawford's D? I was watching him tonight and have been watching him all season, he can't guard anybody.

Also his big performance recently including tonight have been majority garbage time.

He needs to make the solid plays more, not just the flashy ones, on both sides of the floor.

He'll be okay, definitely not the star so many think he is. Compared to Marbury/Francis as rookies, he's just not in the same class. And many around here think Marbury and Francis are hopeless.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
