Saw 'Happy Feet'. It was pretty good, for children, but it had it's moments. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it, unless you have children. I'm still trying to figure out how tap dancing is supposed to stop global warming. It's entertaining though. It was a little strange watching Penguins sing cover songs. Maybe that's why I wouldn't buy it.

Saw 'Pathfinder' today. Hard to believe that today's lovable scandanavians, their ancestors were a bunch of heartless, murderous animals at one time, as they set out to dominate other lands. This is a movie were you really pull for the underdog. Were all hope is lost and you hope for something good to happen. Looks like it was shot up in the Northwest somewhere. Beautiful, beautiful country up there in the mountains. Some of the shots are stunning! a big screen helps.

Saw three more movies.

'Babel'
'Hollywoodland'
'Trudell'

Babel was pretty good. It was a little slow at times, very long and I kept waiting for the punch lines, but then I started to figure out that it is supposed to engage your senses. That it did. It kind of put me into a tense trance. You have to see it to get an idea.

Hollywoodland is about the story of George Reeves, who played the original Superman, back in the early 50's. It wasn't exactly a hardcore investigation type of film, but ran more pararell to another characters story. it was a little annoying, but still a good story of what might of happened. I found out some things I didn't know about before I saw the film. Not bad overall though. And for once, Ben Affleck actually did a pretty good acting job. He kept reminding me of Al Gore.

Trudell is the story of the American Indian activist John Trudell. Sad what happend to his family and I remember many of those things that happened in the late 60's and early 70's. This director, Heather Rae did a very good job in directing it. It was a very good documentary not necessarily of his life, but more about the things that shaped him and how it shaped what he had to say about his peoples problems and now the worlds problems. Things that probably shaped a lot of things within Goverment today. It's a rare thing for someone to speak so openly and be so concerned about the social spectrums in America.

Saw 'Spider Man 3'. Not bad. Someone told me that it had not plot. Well, it did' have a plot. I think it was just a little too sentimental. I'm not so sure I liked the part were Spidy became this cool cat, dancing all over the place. Once I got past that part, the film seemed to be back to normal. James Jamison was halarious! Especially with the little girl who sold him the camera. It definately had it's moments. The special effects are awsome! The beginning credits were the best I ever seen. Very cool. The movie could have been written a little better, but overall it was okay. If your looking for a good story, then wait for the DVD. If you want to see some cool special effects, then the big screen would be good idea. I'd give it 2-1/2 to 3 stars.

since i am a comic book fan, the last three movies i saw in the theater were comic book based ( spider-man 3, tmnt- for my son, and ghost rider). needless to say i was a little bit disappointed. i like horror so i rented the hitcher which wasn't too bad and black christmas which was ok until the awful ending. departed was great but the last great movie that made me say " wow" was inside man. that was a treat and spike is officially back. the movies i am going to see this summer? hmm.. fantastic four, definately transformers ( the character is what i based my username on), die harder and borne ultimatum.

just saw Fracture at the theater (cheap tickets). OK storyline, probably more like a non-going out DVD rental movie.

Rented a couple. 'Shiner' with Michael Caine (one of my favorte actrors) and 'Hollywood Homicide'. Shiner was good. About a man who used his son to go for the title, but then things become chaotic. A real mystery until the end. If you like UK movies, this is not bad. Three stars. As for Hollywood Homicide, starring Harrison Ford, I found it a bit goofy, but the plot and the action was pretty good. It also starred Josh Hartnett ('Black Hawk Down'), who played a cop and a yoga teacher. I'd give it a 2-1/2 to 3 stars.

'Francture'. Hmmm, took a look at the trailer, looks interesting. I usually don't watch to many Hopkins films, since I now relate him to the 'Silence Of The Lambs'. And then he came out with 'Hannibal', creeps me out and I expect all of his movies to be like that now. I have to check that one out also.

Have any of you ever seen 'Dexter' yet? The HBO television series? I got a first episode promo and I got to say, I think I'm going to be getting into this one for awhile. I know it contradics my dislike for Hopkin movies, but this is different. He's actually a 'good serial killer'. Interesting concept.

Saw 'Fracture' last night. Not bad. Hopkins still gives me the creeps. He was certainly his creepiest in this film. There was only one thing in this film. This guy Ryan Gosling, he mumbles his lines. I can't stand actors who mumble. For Hopkins and the murder mystery plot I give the film three stars. Don't expect much action here either. Most of it is conversational. Just a good murder mystery, if you like those kinds of films.

Rented 'Letters From Iwo Jima'. Can't watch it at this point, because my damn DVD players jammed up. I can't even turn the damn thing off. It's weird! I have to un-plug it.

To anyone that enjoys historical films particularly anything from World War 2 time period I'm telling you Downfall is outstanding.

The lead Bruno Ganz his performance is possibly tne most underrated portrayals in film history. I came away from this movie thinking why wasn't this film ever mentioned during the Oscars.

I saw hostel 2. The first one is better although the second one is more bloody. But the thing that killed the movie is when they applied humor to the movie. It wanted to be a bad freddy kruer movie

Haven't been to a movie in awhile, but just saw 'Fantastic Four'. I really liked it. A few scene's were a little corny, maybe a little rediculous, but the story was good overall. Critics who been giving this film very low ratings seem to forget 'it's a comic book movie'! The special F/X are excellent. Personally, I give it *** stars. The invisible woman looked strange. The blonde hair just didn't go with her. There's several hallarious moments, mainly between The Thing & The Human Torch. There's also a great scene with Stan Lee. I think it's fair to say that there's going to be another Four coming out within the next two years. Better to see it on the big screen if you can.
