Wasn't IT supposed to combine three classic offensive schemes to produce for us an effective offense which kept everyone involved? Not sure how "dump to Curry, panic and play one-on-one ball when it doesn't work" is a blend of these offenses...
that offense was abandoned b/c we can't run it. it's the same lines of lb having to "dumb" down the plays last year b/c the team couldn't execute them.
we have to keep it basic and simple. dump it to eddy. watch him try a move. if not, hopefully jamal can bail us out. you notice how many times the ball is passed to jeffries or balkman at the 3 point line with less than 3 on the shot clock? it's b/c we don't know how to run an offense.
But we heard such great things about it in training camp. They were going to use their "youth" and "athleticism" to be the Suns of the East.
BTW, are we still rebuilding or are we in the "Win now" stage of Isiah's master plan? Why is it that 5 of the guys that this team was going to rebuild around either can't get on the court at all or barely have any role at all? That includes our only lottery pick in what will be 4 years and last summers big free agent signing, the proverbial "glue" of this franchise.
If Larry sat Frye and Nate, and both of the defensive minded players that Isiah acquired in the offseason, the way Isiah is, there would be a riot.
Isiah does it, and not a peep out of the people who vilified Brown.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System
