ok, if you turn your images OFF, a little magnifying glass will show up next to the image link, hover over that magnifying glass and get a "preview" of what the image really is courtesy of SNAP.com services.

Added a preview button to the Quick Reply box.

Yeah yeah, search.

Martin I'm just curious but why is it so hard to code search functionality?

What language is this forum written in, VB?

Great work Martin and Andrew, you guys still don't get enough props for what you do with this forum. Awesome work and thankyou!

Edit: Nm, about the search function. What language do you guys code in, maybe some of us can help you out. I'm an average programmer but have plenty of free time since I'm still looking for a job.

we have SQL Server and VBScript within .asp. Mostly it's not that hard, just needs to be done right so it works the first time out. We are lacking time right now.

I'd be intersted in hearing how the "search" feature is going to work. I suspect each of us is looking for something different from this feature. Do we want to search on specific words or phrases, or just be able to see every post a particular poster ever made? I think part of the interest is in being able to call posters out when they contradict themselves.

OTOH, there are some classic threads I'd love to find, so searching on a phrase would be cool too.

I'm all for the search feature but we all know it's Pandora's Box.

There is sort of a google search right now....you can specify the site and the text to search for by putting something like this in the search field:
