Here's how you articulate your point/stand to the media and Lead a team.

http://www.nj.com/sports/ledger/index.ssf?/base/sports-0/1170913251273010.xml&coll=1

"No, not at all," Kidd said during Wednesday's shootaround. "I think Coach has put us in a position to be successful every night. He's not missing the shots or missing the free throws. A lot of times, these games shouldn't have come down to last-second shots. We have to pay more attention to the smaller details -- free-throw shooting, rebounding, taking care of the ball. That's on us."

You don't give a pre-ultimatum to the owner bearing his decision on you threatening to bolt.

You'll never hear anyone on this team except maybe Q say anything of the sort what Kidd said.

You'll never hear ZAYU say anything of the sort what Little Frankie said about his owner's support, although maybe unwarranted.

Leadership is how you define that?...Thats covering your arse...Kidd got Byron Scott fired after he took them to two NBA championship appearances..He endorsed Lawrence Frank as the next coach to lead them..Say what you want, Frank has fallen very short of that goal..Now you are telling me Kidd is showing leadership by supporting the coach???..Dude PLEASE...

2 completely different situations here.

first, Kidd was already a great player before he ever got coached by Lawrence Frank.

second, Frank isn't working under any ultimatums for this season & his boss is outspoken in his praise of his coaching abilities.

third, Kidd has already made his mark on this league & has a maxed out contract, not to mention he's not exactly a young buck anymore... he doesn't have nearly the same amount of loyalties to Frank as much as Curry should have to Isiah.

fourth, why are we looking to Eddy Curry for leadership at this point? shouldn't these comparisons be made w/veterans on this team like Stephon Marbury, Steve Francis, Malik Rose or Q Rich?

Your right Kidd didn't handle that situation well and he made some of those same mistakes in PHX I believe. Byron Scott at the time was very AGENDA driven and there was a definite power struggle going on there and it had more so to do with off the court stuff. The point is you don't show poor leadership by trying to get your way.(i.e. Kobe Bryant)

Curry has been in the league 7 years he is a veteran, the knicks are full of excuses, blame, deflecting the situation at hand and don't have any strong leadership on the team....

When your the point guard and your pulling down 8rbs a night and the knicks center is pulling won 3, and you have led your team to the finals twice and the playoffs nearly every year you have been in the league people listening to what you have to say......

If your a 6'11 lottery pick that thinks he is an All-Star and has a career rebounding of 5 you don't open your chubby mouth, especially when you have never won a playoff game, and been in shape once in your life during a contract year.......
