i thought maybe it was a sign to someone, like a girl maybe? though i've seen other players like D Miles & a few college players do the same thing, so it might be something else... was just wondering if any of you knew what that was all about.

it is a kind of celebration that Q and his former clipper teammates do after they score a basket

he and DMiles both used to do it on the Clips. Q did it with PHX and he's done it occassionally here, but maybe after the horrible season he had last year he's trying to just focus on the game? I don't know. could be a maturity thing.

Its a click thing. The guys in college and miles and Q are boys. They are apart of the same click of friends and they just have this thing they do. They asked Q and miles what it was about and that's what they eluded to. They also refused to say why they do it and what it means.

I think Q is a grown man now. I think that's what he would say now, cuz that's the type of dude he is.

no, their sign is a different hand gesture. when the hand and arm arch in the air. shaq and jordan used to do that when they were younger because they are part of that fraternity. i may be wrong but vince carter used to also. d miles never went to college so he can't do fraternity signs, not traditionally anyway.

He stopped because it was stupid and he looked stupid doing it. Just like Doug Christe how stupid does he look doing all the hand signals during the game.

i don't know... i kinda like the unique hand gestures... Dikembe's a grown man & he still does his little finger waggle everytime he blocks a shot... it gives these guys a little flava IMO...

i miss the LJ "L"

uhhh b/c he grew up?
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

not sure what you're talking about there... LJ was 1 of the main reasons this team made it to the Finals in '99

How can you forget the guy who hit one of the biggest shots in team history, no less in recent memory? The 4 point play to beat Indiana has LJ in my Knick HoF.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

You crazy, LJ was HUGE for our run in 99. He had good post defense, good man defense, would draw doubles in the post to open up Houston & Spree, he would step out and nail the 3. He was the perfect compliment to Camby in the post. And he brought a lot of intensity and passion that fans love. Add that with Camby & Spree's passion along with Ward, Houston & Ewings professionalism and we had a very well balanced team. If Ewing was healthy & we had a skilled combo guard at 1-2(I really liked childs but someone with more size and skill would have definatly done the trick) we would have won the championship. Man thinking back. Layden had the blue print right there for him. LJ retired, so sign or draft a player with a similar style and keep it moving. Ewing is about to come off the books along with Dudley. Let them walk and save 20+mil, then sign &/or draft players with similar styles and keep it moving.
