The coach quit on the team first!!!

Here's the bottom line about quitting. If you quit, you pay the consequences of not winning. Our coach quit and he paid the consequences. He was fired. The players quit and they are still paying the consequences. Their reputations were generally destroyed, they are fighting to earn the respect they lost, and are struggling to maintain a consistent level of effort. Our GM quit leading and is now on the hotseat.

That's the thing about quitting. Quitters always have reasons for why they quit. Some are very cool reasons. But the end result is the same no matter what the reason. You will not win. there is never an excuse for quitting. People that tend to quit have a hard time understanding this.

I know Bippity has harped on this point alot since last year and I've always agreed with it.

Russo asked Heinsohn, who was on for interview, what the Celtics thought about getting the 1st or 2nd pick in the draft and if brass was hoping for one of those 2 slots.

Heinsohn's response: (I'm paraphrasing a bit)
"This organization does not want to setup a losing atmosphere and have there be even a chance, that the young players on this team would ever ACCEPT LOSING.

Where was someone to tell this franchise that same statement last year? I think its had a huge affect on the team.
