Did anyone notice Curry having a new tattoo across his chest last night. I saw the word NEVER peaking out from underneath his jersey and don't recall seeing that before.

yeah, I noticed that too. You'd think it would be tough to get a tattoo in a spot like that between games.

Maybe Curry's tougher than we thought.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Did anyone notice Curry had three assists and just two turnovers? I bring this up because there was a thread recently about Curry not having a game where his assists outnumbered his turnovers.

Also worth mentioning is Curry went 13-16 from the FT line and had 8 rebounds including 2 offensive.

Its gotta be the tattoo.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

I saw the tat also. I just wish I saw the whole message.

Is it "Never give up" or "Never play defense"

I couldn't see the whole thing but I'm pretty sure PLAY DEFENSE were the next two words.

Curry's tattoo means more ink about snub
BY FRANK ISOLA
DAILY NEWS SPORTS WRITER

SALT LAKE CITY - Eddy Curry wears his emotions on his sleeve - and his hands, neck, chest and back.
The Knicks' center is covered with tattoos, and the latest piece of artwork is in response to being omitted from the All-Star team: "Bruised Never Broken" is written across his chest.

"The NBA is killing me but they can't break me," Curry said of the tattoo he got on Monday.

Curry scored 27 points last night - the ninth time in his last 11 games he's topped 20 points - on 9-of-15 shooting (plus 9-of-11 from the foul line), though he also committed eight of the Knicks' 22 turnovers. He's in the midst of his best season and is upset over not making the All-Star team. His teammate, Stephon Marbury, hinted that the NBA alters the coaches' vote in order to select the seven reserves the league wants. When Curry is in uniform, the word "Never" is visible in the middle of his chest.

"Yeah," he said, "I'll always remember this year."

I wonder what kind of response this will bring from the usual Curry sucks club. Bonn, joec etc.

It's fine to have a self-motivator. As usual, though, it's the NBA fault because Curry was so terrible in every other stat that they couldn't justify making him an All-Star. Where's the, "I'm going to try harder and improve so they have no choice to elect me to the game" tattoo? Where's that talk to the media? Non-existant. Why? Because Curry is spoiled. I'm extremely disappointed by his lack of proactiveness. Extremely.

Now, I'm sure some will see nothing wrong with this or even as a positive. That's fine. Some of just have a little higher standards and expectations. Someone with Curry's attitude does give him hope that he will progress much further.

Where's the, "I'm going to try harder and improve so they have no choice to elect me to the game" tattoo?
Isn't that what the "NBA is killing me but can't break me" means? That I will come back harder and they will have no choice? IMO, can't break me = i will improve so much that they have no choice. Thats how I read it. Different interpretations but I'm glad to see him wanting to play harder. I did not expect the will to play hard and improve and be bruised but not be broken. I did not expect this from him last year and the beginning of this year.

ha. his tattoos speak for what his game doesn't. i'd like to see him leave a game once actually bruised from banging hard against guys blocking out and bodying up on d and hitting the floor. in the meantime i guess we have to settle for him writing it on his chest because his 1-way game wasn't fawned over enough by the league.

Great, now Curry can't be buried in a Jewish cemetary.

Seriously though, Curry is turning into a complete idiot right before our eyes.

Someone should remind Curry of the old saying, "It is better to be thought a fool, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt".

How about Curry tattoos the name of the person on the team that he thinks he should have made it over? That would be fun.

I think if that's what he was saying he would've said it. I don't interpret what he said to be anything close to that. Then again, with Isiah running the show, it's hard for the players to imagine they have to take accountability when their coach/GM and owner set the example by pointing the finger.

^That is what he said or thats what he wanted to say but he is not great speaking to the media. You are looking at the negative side and I'm looking at the positive. You see him blaming others, I see him using it as motivation and thats what I expected.

What are the chances that Curry tattoos the word "UP" on the back of both of his hands.

I think he & the coaching staff will make defense the first priority this summer. Eddy will never get his props unless he can prove to be a legit defensive player.

Year 7 in the league. That's usually when players start to think about playing defense and learn how to play it.

Year 7 is when he will start to buy into defense. Year 7.5 is when he will learn how to play it well. If not, year 8 will be when him and his coach are doing stuff elsewhere.
