Accountability

"He's got a great post-up game and he's a great foul shooter," Thomas said of Frye. "I've got to do a better job" of using him.

Adjustments

"(Jerome) is probably one of the best defensive guys in the league in terms of controlling the paint and blocking shots," Thomas said of James. "I don't have any concerns about Jerome playing against anyone. Some nights you're not going to have the perfect matchups"

Motivation

"I just want to give the team whatever they need defensively," James added. "I've felt pretty comfortable guarding smaller guys before. I bother them with my length. [But] I'm not running around picks. I'll run picks over."

Maybe when Isiah has some accountability for the mess that he's put together I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

nyk4ever - do have any interest in watching Isiah's mess or are you switching to another team or syndicated program?

Have you really tuned the Knicks out in February?

If they have your attention, why do you watch or follow them?

Of course I watch and root for them to win every nite Mr.EARL, but I also don't turn a blind eye to the mess this franchise and salary-cap has turned into.

earl - what accountability is there when jeffries gets to start right off the bat when other guys were busting tail in his absence? then the team goes 3-1, playing shorthanded with a starting frontcourt of lee+frye+curry playing 40+ mins a night with all those overtimes, only for jeffries to come right back into his starting spot?

and for jerome to earn the starting nod while david lee was looked over when isiah made the decision to move frye to the bench?

how were those decisions made? why is jerome not held accountable for perennially being out of shape? and then you have malik and balkman glued to the bench b/c why?

the players like him (i think)...and he does motivate them...but his motivation lasts a game or two and then they put up a poor showing again. why is it so hard to sustain the motivation?

Mr Snit?

Don't make me make it personal. You may not like what you read. As they say in New Orleans, "don't start no stuff, won't be no stuff..."

djsu - its a very young team. Consistency comes with experience.

Bootleg Alert

SFX: siren

So after a disastrous 1-6 start the Knicks are 12-13 at home.

That’s 11-7 at home since December for those of you keeping track.

Progress is starting to hold your own on your home court.

Accountability
"He's got a great post-up game and he's a great foul shooter," Thomas said of Frye. "I've got to do a better job" of using him.

He just benched him. Who else is going to have to do a better job of using last year's lottery pick? Is there another head coach that we don't know about?
Adjustments

"(Jerome) is probably one of the best defensive guys in the league in terms of controlling the paint and blocking shots," Thomas said of James. "I don't have any concerns about Jerome playing against anyone. Some nights you're not going to have the perfect matchups"

Is that why he has 31 DNP-ID's this year and 8 games where he's received less than 5 minutes out of 49 games? Isiah is saying that he's had "one of the best defensive guys in the league in terms of controlling the paint and blocking shots", sitting on his bench the whole season when even the most casual of observers would know that interior defense has been one of their greatest weaknesses!! That's complete incompetency and is tantamount to sabotaging the team.
Motivation

"I just want to give the team whatever they need defensively," James added. "I've felt pretty comfortable guarding smaller guys before. I bother them with my length. [But] I'm not running around picks. I'll run picks over."

What does that have to do with motivation? That's laziness and stupidity.

You're right, it was uncalled for and I apologize.

I'm sick of being asked if I watch the games, just because I have an opinion that differs from others. It's pretty pathetic on yours and others part if you ask me.

nyk4ever - apology accepted.

I wasn't asking whether you watch. I was asking whether you will continue to watch while the franchise attempts to correct its course.

An Interesting Thought On Consistency

"When you win, celebrate and get over it and get focused on the next game," (Malik Rose) said. "But we get a win and we think we're in the conference championship. It's something we have to learn not to do."

"I've said it all season," Rose said. "We'll get a win and all of the sudden we think we've arrived. We get a taste of what it could be like. But with winning streaks and good teams that put their work in daily, they get a win and nothing changes. It's still 0-0. They get another win, it's still 0-0. They go on a 20-0 run, the score is 0-0. Stay focused at the task at hand.

Focus for yoots can be problemmatic

RE: Frye...

i don't give IT credit for adjustments just before the AS break to things i've been thinking since day one of the season.

i liked everything IT has said recently about frye- briefly, that he can now be a featured offensive player with the second unit, in the post when curry's out. that's how we'll make channing a contributor or valuable trade piece.

i do NOT like that it's like game #50 and he's saying this. better late than never? maybe. but this is REALLY late. smacks of incompetence/cluelessness. IMO.

Masterplan - cluelessness about guys you play or practice every day?

you consider the possbility that Jerome has been more injured than reported?

dj - are the players complaining or not putting forth effort?

other than personal agendas, what is the problem?

Oh, and regarding the salary cap.... the Knicks will not be under the cap in our lifetime.

Besides, It ain't my money

one more thing, that freshman from Texas moves like a 6'9 Jamal Crawford meshed with the intuition and skill-set of Bernard King.
