There is a lot of debate on the board today. Its kind of a confusion of sorts. Its all because its painfully obvious that the knicks need a change.

what things we all know and probably agree:

1) like it or not curry is the franchise.
2) marbs is our point guard
3) lee is the man, but probably needs a player better than him starting
4) signing Jared was a mistake
5) Q is a 3 and he is a cripple, therefore they need someone more reliable
6) knicks need a change of pace back-up point
7) channing may be good but next to curry he is a liability
7) knicks need a more consistant shooting guard

Without the sarcasm and nit-pickin bull****, this is our knicks in a nutshell.

My question is where do the knicks go from here?

Also:

8) Isiah Thomas is the coach and GM
9) James Dolan is the owner
10) Walt (Clyde) Frazier is one of the announcers and
11) Mike Breen is also an announcer

One of the more important points that some blind knick homers dont get.

lee is great, but he can't defend worth a lick.

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

No I think most people are saying what Lee brings on the whole is too great not to start. He can become a better defender, but it's not going to happen on the bench. Personally I think Lee is very active defending, he is still young though. Is that a lick or three????

Eny: This is what most people read
1) OMFG Eddy Curry did not play defense yesterday so he will never learn
2) OMFG Marbury said the All star selection process is broken. trade him!
3) OMFG David Lee did not play 97 mins last night. Fire Isiah.

get ready for it. Its the same song.

So you're saying the knicks should look to the draft?

I think there is no question that Frye would better suit Boston and Danny strange....I think this could happen if Boston figures it would have no change at olden.

This deal would mean the knicks have up on this year though.

I know Silver, but this is the conversation we should be having.

By the way can anyone contribute to the question: Where do the Knicks go from here?

So who plays center? Maglorie or curry? If rather go with big game and curry than that.

Don't mean to be a dick about it but how do we get the knicks to improve?

^^^^ Salary doesn't match so I added james.

Honestly, would you care when Jamal is a rental(I believe we would have his bird rights) and Portlands pick will be like 14-10???? I don't know, I say start both so Jamal doesn't get disgruntal and help some other big man straved team sign him in the offseason. Miles would be tricky, but can anybody say he is worst then having Jared on the team????

Getting miles would be great but he's not playing now and hasn't really played the last 2 years. I'm counting on him making a comeback but this is all next year stuff.

Dude did you give up on the knicks this year or what?

1) Franchise, schmanize...like it or not curry has improved his game to receive mention as an All-Star.
2) marbs is our point guard with Jamal in the wings
3) lee is not "the man" until he learns how to defend with consistency, but oh, how I love to watch him play
4) signing Jared was less a mistake than signing Felton Spencer
5) Q was engaged to Brandy, broke up and still defends her honor. That makes him a helluva guy
6) the knicks and Ray Allen are a match made in heaven
7) i look forward to channing frye in the low post
7) Isiah will uncover anothe jewel in the draft, book it Dano
once a knick always a knick

Do nothing and let the yoots play and grow..The Knicks will have some flexibility in 2009...Craw and Q contract has an ETO in 2009...Meaning their contracts can probably be renegotiated starting at lower salary and a longer term deal...Mardy Team option year in 2009 (1.8 mil) is a sure goner...Balk team option year 2009(2.1 mil)???...Players use to restructure deals to land a big free agent to take them over the top...We may have to lose one of our bigs at PF(sign and trade)??...We have two years to see who stays and who goes....

Broadway can be shaped and molded to be ready for KING JAMES...The only question left: Is KING JAMES ready for Broadway...

EYE ON THE PRIZE GENTLEMEN AND LADY(Queenie), EYE ON THE PRIZE!!!

The Knicks need a player opposing teams fear!

Nobody fears our players game.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

So everyone thinks we should just stay put but at the same time we should spend all our lives complaining about it?

To me there hasn't been a time like this in the isiah era that SCREAMS change. Isiah always took it soon himself to change things for nothing, like the KVH trade, drafting frye only to sign Big game and then trade for Curry. Then draft Balkman only to sign Jared jefferies. Not to mention the Francis trades and buying out Taylor and Rose. All that was change that wasn't really called for.

Right now change evident. I can't believe isiah is quiet and the board is just as quiet on this.

I'm guessing that Dolan has closed his wallet. As I recall, that's what he did with Layden towards the end too.

Change may be necessary, but given Isiah's track record, is he the best man to make it? Perhaps a more significant change is in the offing.
