How long do you think this experiment will last?

It may work against the Clippers who have Brand and Kaman, leading me to believe that the same will be tried against the Jazz. There is no way that lineup can work in the next game against the Lakers, so my guess is he stays for 2 more games.

What happens when it doesn't?

Honestly, I think we will see JJ2 jump back into the lineup, with Q at the 3. Not sure how ling that will last though.

Isiah will then sign an NBDL player to start over Lee.

It will be a situational thing, Zeke just wanted to take D. Howard off his game because he knew Curry couldn't. It might work against Brand/Kaman. Boozer is out for Utah so they don't really need to do it. Odom/Radmanovic play outside too much but it might throw Bynum off his game. I'd rather they start Cato when they employ this strategy, he's more active than J. James.

Eh, its probably the only way they can get Jerome to make an impact (otherwise he comes in fouling). Using him this way also gives Jerome enough relevance where they don't have to buy him out yet.

Why not use Cato in this role instead? Cato is a much better player than Jerome.

Because James costs more?

Right. So you agree that the only reason Isiah is using James in that role is to defend his own overspending on that player? If so, it becomes difficult to back up Isiah's decision.

Could we hope that Isiah is trying to trade Big Game James?

Whatever he's trying to do, its clearly an attempt in trying to create a bit of value (even if its only percieved value) for his big mistake.

I could picture Isiah bringing in KG off the bench rather than using him as a starter. KG might put up 15 and 8 and Isiah would say "he's found his niche. Why mess with what's working?"

What team is taking "Big Game" in trade? Worse, what do we have to take in return for a team to take him?

Jerome James only plays about the first five-six minutes of the game and we play alot of zone. Why Couldn't it work against the Lakers????
It'snot a bad idea to turn the Jazz/Lakers/Warriors into jump shooters. They could kill us from deep, but it might be better then letting have their way off the dribble.

Either Curry or JJ will have to play the wing position in the zone....meaning they will still have to get out to the 3 pt shooters in the corner. I don't see either doing that. I think you can only play zone so much against a good team until they figure it out.

5-6minutes is too long???? Jerome only played 14 minutes last game. It won't be that hard to start him till allstar break.

2-3 isn't the only zone we have played either. We play it the most, but it isn't the only one we have played.

Good teams put out their lineup and make the other team match-up with them. IT tries and matches up with the other team. Big snacks isnt the answer

this is a perfect example of how we need to do a two for one type trade- We'd have a great center if we could have one with the offensive abilities of Curry and the shot blocking ability of Jerome James.

The issue I saw with the two of them on the court was we had no rebounding.
