......from his brokeback mountain trip with the only man that understands him. The man Stevie effectionately calls johnathan. He is a man with experience that knows Stevie's body better than he knows himself.
See Steve had knee issues. Swollen knees. He just wasn't getting the lift to be the "Franchise". We all know that when a guy hits 30, all he needs is a couple months off to rehab and get back close to 100%. Some of us with common sense, call that the off season. You know that 6 month period where you spend rehabing and preparing for the season? Nah, to people that play the game, the best time to take 1-2 months off from your team and your job is during the season. The average person that has never played the game at an NBA level couldn't possibly know what it takes to "get back".
Stephon, the Brooklyn kid with the hard to get close to attitude, used to sky with the best on the little men. He no longer can get up as high as he used to. Steph may take a game off or two, but he will defiantly utter the words "I'm playing" as long as he can breathe. He was out last year cuz he couldn't raise his arm without pain. He would have played and he tried to play but who would with the state the knicks were in last year. Anyway, marbs is a soldier. Dude has knee problems, ankle woes, and hamstring problems. All we ever hear him say is. "I'm playing".
Francis is 2 weeks away. He too Nate off the dribble in practice, still he is 2 weeks away. Away from what? Is the dude still out of shape? What the hell was he doing with johnathan that was so special that he still is 2 weeks away?
There is only one explanation. I think I will leave that up to Stevie to explain. I'd hate for Cuttino to hear it from me.
