With Baron Davis out six weeks following knee surgery and desperate for a playmaker, New Orleans has called Seattle about Kenny Anderson. But the Sonics aren't interested in Elden Campbell, even though they could use a post presence. They'll move Anderson for a talented, young player and/or a No.1 pick.

Campbell could wind up in San Antonio, with Steve Smith heading to the Hornets, who also want a proven scorer to bring off the bench.

As much of a disappointment as Campbell has been - he's never gotten into shape in the walk year of his contract - the Spurs could use Campbell's size. David Robinson's back has been acting up and Kevin Willis has done little as a reserve.

Campbell's really not going to do a whole lot except be a big body. I wouldn't give up much of anything for him.

ummm, how about charlie and/or knight?

the hornets need a PG, and they need a replacement backup C.

plus, both of their contracts are "cap friendly"
